Canon Digital Camera Defect

Napacheck ko na yung sira ng canon digital camera ko.Ang sira ng canon ko ay wala ng makita sa screen niya.Sensor daw yung sira nun.Sabi nila defect daw ng canon free daw yun walang bayad.Dedeliver pa nila sa bahay mo yung canon digital camera mo.Madami na rin nagbalik ng mga canon digital camera nila.

May similar thread na about this issue sa 2nd page siguro ng tech talk. May "Sony" sa title.

Teka ba't nagdedeliver na sila ngayon? When they fixed my A80 I had to go there to pick it up.

A70 yung sa akin at na experience ko din yung intermittent problem na nakikita mo sa LCD, dinala ko sa canon. binigyan ako ng loan unit A610 with swivel lcd pa. good as replacement na pala ito ..AYOS

Tagal na nito ah. There was a Canon digital camera "recall" in late 2005. If this is still the same issue then it's great Canon hasn't closed its door on it yet. My friend's Ixus 230 was replaced with an Ixus 55. No warranty on the replacement unit, but then ang layo ng 2 in terms of features.

tagal na nga nyan, same issue with sony's. maybe they have the same LCD manufacturer.

It's the CCD that's causing problems. The CCD is manufactured by Sony. It also affects some Nikon cameras.

Come to think to it, Sony manufactured the exploding Dell laptop batteries IIRC

Na iwan ng kapatid ko sa dashboard yun camera niya...ayun sira ang CCD Sensor.

Dinala ko sa Canon Service Center....ayun, pinalitan nga yun sensor, free of charge. BTW, out-of-warranty na pala yun camera.

It took them about 10 days.

My brother is now happy as a clam.

left my A95 as well yesterday n canon. buti na lang...kundi mapapagastos ako sa DSLR.

yep. it's a ccd problem. had my a70 sent dun sa office nila sa may pasong tamo around november 2005. they loaned me an a520 (newer model, higher resolution). pwede na raw yun as replacement camera. but i opted to wait for them to repair my a70. mas gusto ko kasi yung a70 ko hehe

swerte nyo naman 10 days lang inabot ang sa inyo kami mahigit 2 months ,
tapos wala pa pina loan na unit ...bad trip

swerte nga.. mga 2 years ago yung canon 2 series ng bro-in-law ko nagloko yung lcd.. parang mas mababa pa sa 16colors ang display. no mention of a recall then, he had it repaired for 4K-5K in the canon service center.

Wahhh tumawag yung Canon tapos na daw yung Digital Camera ko pero wala na daw deliver.Dad ko ang nagsabi na dedeliver daw nila eh.

ok lang gs, gulat nga ako nung sabi mo na idedeliver nila sa inyo pero wala sinabi sa akin. ang importante...ayos na camera natin. :D

yep, basta CCD problem.

Had my A80 also repaired. The same problem, CCD. The customer service agent told me that the reason for its failure is due to heat. Since these are designed to be used in partly cold countries.
Paktay, they should have sold the units elsewhere.

Anyway, good thing service and replacement part is free of charge.

my ixus was also recalled..and the ccd gave up on me in less than a year.

yun nga lang..sa singapore ko binili so sa sing ko rin pinadala.but i heard canon phil will still repair it even if sa ibang bansa mo binili.

yes sir tama. sa malaysia ko nabili yung sa akin (A70)pero dito ko na pina repair/replaced wala naman problema.
