Try troubleshooting first with the ff

1.) Try the particular hard disk on other computers first. We have a busted motherboard here which cannot read or recognize (at "cmos/Bios" )any hard drives or optical drives attached to it. Tried it on another different working motherboard and the hard disks are still functional.

2.) If you're hard drives are PATA. (parallel ATA), maybe you did not configure the jumpers on it to indicate whether its a master, slave or master w/ non ATA slave, etc.. Consult the website of the hard drive's manufacturer regarding the jumper settings.

Kung hindi na madetect sa CMOS paano mo pa mapapagana yung hard disk?

Sa akin kasi pag nasira yung HDD swap and try ko muna sa ibang computer pag hindi na talaga gumagana sa ibang computer palitan na.

i think for this instance... once the hard disk (HDD) is not detected in the bois. How can you recover a file from the HDD?.. so basically, the HDD is damaged and no more files can be recovered at this point.

Try mo ibagsak sa floor with carpet yung HDD or lagay mo sa Freezer for an hour.. This is the last option done by some technicians. for after freezing the HDD for an hour or so, it may still run for 2-3hrs much enough time for the files to be recovered.

    Mga sir,

    Thank for all the replies.

The hard Disk is I think damage physically.

It is an IOMEGA external HDD. Binaklas ko na mismo sa Enclosure nya then try it isalpak s HDD s motherboard & also try to change the jumper setting wala ayaw talaga. ATA po ung HDD.

ito pa talagang ayaw mag read dahil malalamn mo naman dahil pag nilgayn mo ng power supply yun dapat prang nag vibrate sya pro wala tahimik lang eh.

So what I need now is a reputable shop na marerecommend nyo to bring the hard disk for recovery reapair, I mean not only to repair co's I need to recover at least khit 80% nung files na laman.

    Thanks!

    nakoooo never mo gawin ito..
Try mo ibagsak sa floor with carpet yung HDD sa ibang HD ......

Just came across an article the other day where an intentionally burned HDD's data was fully (100%) recovered. Sa U.S. nga lang yung service. Even HDDs riddled with bullets, nasasalba pa daw nila.

yup sa US dami nito kaso they are too expensive. tipong pang corporate use kasi. kadalasan pinarerecover yung mga vital files ng isang companya na.

    try mo http://www.drivesavers.com/

not sure kung may partners sila dito. Recommended ito sa US.

    mga samples nila

OT: Ito pinapatawagan ng mga tech support agents sa customers nila pag nagfafail hard drives nila na kailangan may irecover na files. hehehe
