The key is parts availability. Kung wala pa sa Pinas, risky yan. Stick with common brands. Here in the US we have a Brother telefax, Office Depot is 10mins away. No problems naman. HP rin we have no problems.
Pili ka rin ng model na tamang tama lang yung features dahil kung unnecessary, mamahal talaga. And if you get one na mamahalin yung parts like ink cartridge, it's not a good deal unless sobrang ganda rin ng print quality na it offsets the high purchase price of parts.
For what purpose ba? General office lang? Glossy photographs? Print ads? Posters?
OT: Isn't it odd na when you buy a printer new, may kasama na ink. Pero when you buy ink na bago, masmahal pa sa cheapest printers (na may ink na)?

the purpose of the 4 in 1 is for general office uses lang dito sa bahay, dahil minsan di talaga maiwasan na mag fax kahit gabi na, and at the same time para mabawas naman ang cluter dito sa home office namin, masyadong maraming wires na nakalatag bec of the scanner, fax, printer..... tapos outdated na itong fax namin sharp masyadong malaki....
I'm planning to buy yun HP5610 or brother 215c
ito pa pala stupid question, yun fax mode ba pwede ka makreceive and send kahit naka off ang PC mo? particularly doon sa HP?

Not all the time... sinusunod pa rin ang industry practice na cheap printer, high cost of consumables OR expensive printer but cheap cost of consumables... better to buy the mid-range to top printers in terms of price kasi cheap ang consumables nito... and besides mas matagal ang mga service life ng mid-range to hi-end printers...
Always check in a 4 in 1 printer na dapat flatbed ang scanner, mas better kung may fax function, at syempre individual ink tanks.
Standard industry practice din that the ML content of those packaged with the printer ay 25-50% lesser when compared to the retail inks... For example a retail ink prints 400 pages... yung bundled na ink nung printer prints 100 pages...
Recommendation: Stick with HP... they are transparent in providing information on how much ink they have per cartridge... Epson talaga walang kwenta... I think Canon is starting to change and provide more infomation on the ink contents of their cartridges...

mag-HP ka na lang. the best yun. I've tried both canon and epson inkjets.
balik HP pa din ako whether all-in-one or laser printer. all-in-one sa bahay, laser sa office.

i'm an ex-hp printer user 4 10 years.the problem w/hp is dat they've change their ink tanks, for me its too small 4 refilling.epson is a tanker if it comes to it's ink cartridge very much suitable 4 continuous ink flow kits+better print quality.4 in 1 printers are good.....gud 4 displays.anyone here ever tried to refill their hp cartridges???they are not too transparent about their ink coding if u know wat i'm talking about! u have to use a tissue paper or coupon bond to know the exact coding thats y noobies in ink refilling usually mess up their ink cartridges.

mabilis daw maubos yung ink/toner. got one in our office (all in 1 type). we'll see kung tatagal. pero mga brother fax machines, ok naman.
