Yung 32" nila for less than 15K medyo ok pa. the 41" lcd damaged goods thing are really a waste of money.

Ok pa raffle yung 32" sa pasko.

    Price check:

22" LCD TV Php. 8,900...as posted on their website.

Tempting...if you want to risk it...personally di ko sure for what I will use this one for, maybe as a give away or gift.

Bought a 32" Devant LED for P15,200. Let's see if it lasts? But to be fair the PQ is comparable to known brands.

    some things to consider:
    - plasma or LCD? Generally these days LCD is the choice.
    - color quality. Check the color richness and the blackness of the blacks. Cheaper screens tend to have dull colors and greys for blacks.
    - size (too big or too small for the room intended)
    - 720 or 1080? smaller screens (below thirty inches) would be fine with 720 while bigger screens will benefit from 1080 resolution.
    - number of video/data ports at the back (and front). You will want to be able to plug in all your gear and maybe a spare port or two for future additions.
    - internet ready? Some screens have built-in systems to view internet content
    - sound quality. You may or may not be planning for a 3rd party audio system so check if the sound quality from the screen is good enough for you.
    - 3D ready or capable? At this point, you can ignore this unless you want to be one of the early adopters of this kind of system. Downside, 3D movies for the home are still few.
    - PiP or Picture in Picture. Lets you monitor one or more channels (as a small picture) while watching something else as the big screen. Some have or don't have this feature. Not a deal breaker in more cases but a nice feature to have.

This was posted a long time ago, so I am sure CD-R King has further lowered their prices...

I still think Plasma has a place still. For a home theater setup (not your room TV) plasma is still superior in picture quality except for animated films where LCD still performs better. Pero kung live action especially during really dark scenes. PLASMA pa din.

With the quality of LCD screens, I would go for LCDs ... at least you don't have to worry about the color degrade over time and pattern burn-in that you can get with plasma screens.

Burn-ins are already a past problem for plasmas. Modern day plasma do not suffer from burn in anymore. And one thing that Plasma has over LCD and especially LED is the price and value. A relatively big plasma (say 51") is less than 40K. For an LCD or LED it would cost much much more. But as I said this is not your room TV, plasmas are suited for a home theater setup...
