never tried the gadgets pero widgets medyo ok naman.. lakas nga lang kumain sa resources lalo na kung mahina pc kasi 512mb ram needed.. hirap din video card ko dati dyan isabay sa games. nvidia fx5600
So far I have tried both and it seems Yahoo Widgets seems to be less resource hungry. Note, the machine I tested it on has an Intel Atom 1.6ghz CPU and 1.5gigs of ram.
yahoo widgets consumes many resources, i dont know with gadgets though.
i dont use both, it sorts of clutters up my desktop.
but when i was using one before, i've noticed yahoo gadgets consumes more resources.
I use the dock and have nearly all of them there. And the dock is set to retract into the side of the screen, similar to how MS Office can be set to hide away from view.
really? since my experience is that google gadgets slowed down my computer more.but when i was using one before, i've noticed yahoo gadgets consumes more resources.
widgets eats 512 if i remember correctly
malakas din siya unless you have a beast machine..
hirap fx5600 ko dati to multitask pag naka on widgets. pagnaka on yun laggers gameplay ko sa ragna that time at nababa ng todo fps ko pero continues ang laro, fps lang talaga bumaba.. i know mababa spec ng sakin dati pero it was enough narin to play damn games with nice resolutions at details
i still prefer not to use widgets/gadgets or docks. they slow down my PC. not really slow, as in slow, but performance is more faster than there is widgets on. even in linux using widgets (screenlets) slows it down.
