250 gb hdd replaced with 500gb Seagate Momentus XT hybrid drive
only thing lacking is an optical drive and USB 3.0
best of all only 3 lbs

I get a little less than 5 hours of battery life. Manufacturer claims 8 hours but never got close to the 8 hours even with min screen brightness. Total cost about 36,000
