passed by Gigahertz pc store. mas latest model ang 1005p because it uses the atom 450 while the 1005ha uses the 280. the rest of the specs halos lamang ang 1005p.
surprisingly, mas mahal ang HA by 1k.
if you were in my place which will you buy?

Of course I'll buy the 1005P because its a newer model that gets better battery life plus a little better graphics. Mas ok din ang keyboard niya (Chiclet-style ata?) and ASUS logo at the front instead of Eee logo (Looks cheap according to some and lacks name recognition daw) Also, 1005P is offered with Windows 7 ata while 1005HA is not.
Why is the 1005HA more expensive? Luma na yun ah...
How much does the 1005P and 1005HA cost in Gigahertz?
Might be better to wait a while. Asus will be releasing all new EEE models very soon. Either you can get the new ones, or expect a significant discount on the old models.
EEE 1015P will replace the 1005 series, and will have 14 hours battery life.
EEE 1018P will be very thin very sleek, just 18mm thick with all aluminum construction and 10 hours battery. Pantapat ata sa Macbook Air but at the EEE market level.
EEE 1016P is a business class EEE.

Expected launch is this March, kasabay ng Cebit. I'll update the thread again when I have news.
Planning to get the 1015P or 1018P for myself. Tiis muna sa old laptop for a while.
Engadget has them na!

As for the 1005P diba it's been out since Dec last year or Jan this year? I think the local distro was just slow on the pickup. Or maybe they bought too many stocks of the older model so they wanted to dispose muna before importing the 1005P.

Hardware is out at CeBIT, and already in the hands of several reviewers. We should be seeing these pretty soon.
