Paano pag sa pinas nagtayo yung Foxconn? Most probably lugi na ung Apple...
pag sa Pinas yan matagal na na-i-reklamo sa DOLE yan. at matagal nang on-strike yan. mga union pa...
They should move to Japan. At least, people there are passionate about quality work and craftsmanship, unlike in China.
True, quality comes at a price.
With the prices of iProducts though, it's disconcerting that it doesn't have the quality that is expected of its price.
Apple pays Foxconn $8 for each iphone it assembles
BOM = bill of materials
if iphones will be assembled in Japan it will cost many times that
and Apple will want to preserve its huge profit margin (around 70%)
so retail $1500 per unit? $2000?
Apple fans are loyal but will they be loyal enough to pay $2000 for an iphone?

Well, if Foxconn and its factory workers don't shape up, people would ditch the fruit brand because they'd be laughed at for purchasing a defective product at a very high price.
Tim Cook, unfortunately, doesn't measure up to Steve Jobs. This is really sad. They need to fix this production issue and execute the plans of SJ properly.
If it's a well crafted product, I guess people would be more than willing to pay premium for it. Especially if it doesn't have the Made in China stamp of poor quality.
Does anyone assemble gadgets in the US or any developed countries besides Japan? How much labour cost per unit?
dunno if anyone still builds mobile phones in the US... guess not... how can they possibly compete?
but there are jeans still made in the US hehe... $300 jeans

I'm so getting an iPhone 5 as soon as Globe starts dishing them out with a plan.
Bye Android... for now.
