We've been using Panasonic for years now and so far wala naman ganyan na problem although a static sound was emitting before but we traced that to one of our power tools when it was turned on.

Have you tried changing channels in your cordless phone? It could be that the default frequency that you're using is near the freq of your cellphone or the harmonic frequency of any of the appliances in your house.

Also, if you have the money, buy a cordless phone that employs the frequency hopping technology (spread spectrum). The signal on this phone should be very clear as the frequencies being used by the base and the cordless phone jumps(in sync) from one range to another over a given period of time (usually in ms). This was a military application that has been declassified and commercialized some years ago.

Typically, these are the cordless phones with freq in the GHz range. Go check out the features, though.

    Good luck.

yes, may DSL ako dito, may kasama nga filter called"suttle line conditioner" daw. sinaksak ko ito in series before the cordless pero ganun pa rin. na try ko na rin i switch ang channels manually pero hinde nagbabago ang hissing sound. meron kayang sira na part sa loob? sinubukan ko kasing baklasin kasi nilinis ko yung keypads parang nag ooil dahil pag pindot2. then gumana naman na walang hissing sound pero after 2 days lang meron na naman.

Bro.,- you should have told us that you have a DSL in the same telephone line. If the filter did not work,- nothing will. The same opinion with the technical guys at PLDT....

If you can't live with it, dispose your cordless phone and be contented with your regular handset.

sorry hinde ko nasabi na may DSL , anyways mukang ibabasura ko na nga ito. natanong ko na rin sa PLDT technical guys ito at ang sabi ba naman " ikabit niyo ho yung original phone" ayos ano.

do you think a high end cordless phone (mahal ng konti) will eliminate the hissing sound like the one with frequencies na Ghz range? mahirap kasi pa akyat baba ng bahay eh . thanks ulit.

Dun sa regular landline mo meron din bang hissing sound? If yes, yung line mo na ang may problem, but this should also affect your DSL connection. If not, try to put another filter. Ilan ba ang extension ng phone line nyo?

at first before using that wireless phone did you submit it to PLDT for testing and evaluation? kasi reuirement yan ng PLDT at to check if yung tel ay within specs, you can try sa pacific star bldg makati sa PROD SERV dept.

ganun ba? kala ko majority of cordless phone at the market is standard and compliant sa "standard" ng PLDT. kung ganito parang hassle naman kasi bibilhin mo na yung unit then pag hinde umubra, change item, hassle na nga.

Bro.,- theoretically, cordless phones employing the frequency hopping technology should work because the interference attributed to your DSL signal should be riding on a (single) carrier frequency, and this should not affect yours as it jumps from one frequency to another.

OT: That is why it was used in military applications earlier, where it appears to be just noises across the whole frequency spectrum, but actually communications riding on different frequencies at different points in time. Virtually, cannot be jammed.

Although, I'd still suggest you try one first before buying it.

    Good luck!

IF you really can't solve the hissing, switch to digital wireless phones like Siemens DECT models. Look for the ones Made in Germany. Siemens Gigaset A120, it's the cheapest. 300 meter range. Kahit sobrang layo mo sa base, you won't hear a slight hiss. It's even better than corded sa clarity. Corded kasi is subject to corrosion of wires which also contributes to the noise.

I bought one, first DECT namin ito eh, I discovered that it's really advanced. You can have "wireless" extensions. You can "attach" them to form a network. Isa lang ang kailangan ng phoneline tapos all of them wirelessly naka-connect sa phone na may phoneline. Kaya bibili ulit ako ng mas marami.
