I think this would be an easy DIY though to fit a decent tweeter, plus paper capacitors as 1st order x-over network.
Edifier is the current Altic Lansing I guess, offering good sounding speakers at a reasonable price.
Gone are the Creative Labs/ Creative Works, Logitech, Labtec value offerings with decent performance.
It's mostly Bluetooth PC speakers now or soundbars that costs an arm and a leg for those decent ones.
BTT:
Used to be that you buy a full size headphone from the likes of Pioneer, Audio Technica, Shure, Philips, JVC or Sennheiser.
Then you plug it into your (now vintage) amplifier and adjust the bass/treble to your personal taste.
Today they have mostly discarded the tone control adjustment, or if there's one... it will most likely be software based.
So now if you want to get the sound you prefer, you either buy a new headphone or a new amp.
Rinse repeat until you get the sound signature you're looking for.
So instead of the tone controls, we have amp/ headphone/ op amp rolling instead to tune the sound.
