    Guys, ano ang DNS settings nyo? About one week na ung 20-30kbs lang ang download speed ko.

    Ung mga above 40 ano gamit nyo?

    I think this should be in the tech forum.

    Anyway, DNS has little effect on your download speed. If you're using a slow DNS server but with a fast overall uplink/downlink, you'll get the feeling that your browsing is slow because translating the web addresses you type in your browser will take some time. But you'll notice that subsequent connects to the same site are faster, because the lookup is now cached.

    If, by "slow downloads", you're referring to sustained download speeds using a browser or P2P client, then changing DNS settings will not help.

    Marami talagang problema at nagrereklamo sa PLDT myDSL. iilan lang ang satisfied costumers.

    ako satisfied sa myDSL...pero nasa probinsya kasi ako ng angeles so congestion of bandwidth is not much an issue to me....

    yup, DNS setting not related....

    We have no problem with our PLDTDSL connection so far since it was installed last August 05. Patapos na lock-in period of 24 months. Pumasok yun globelines sa village namin and offering lower plan than PLDT. Baka mag shift ako if PLDT will not offer a better DSL plan.

    Yup. depende naman sa area yan e. But based on user comments sa www.pinoydsl.net forums marami talaga woes.

    merun na sir, they started as smart landline 1998, then around 2002 naging PLDT (after they bought smart)...my landline was about 2004 pa (pero I had a smart landline 1998 na pinaputol ko due to billing problems nila nuon).

    but not all pldt dito have myDSL connection na...

    Any feedback on PLDT MyDSL service in Paranaque area, specifically Brgy. San Isidro (Valley 2)? Am thinking of getting one of their residential plans but wanna hear if from tsikoteers in this area... thanks.
