Question lang po to those people that travel frequently for business: how important is having a phone that covers most/all 3G bands deployed around the world? 3g phones these days usually support only one or two bands, not the whole set(850/900/1700/1900/2100); parang bitin kasi if you get yourself a 3G phone na UMTS2100 lang, then when you land in the US you're stuck with GSM.

Or are the baseline(GPRS/EDGE) service in other countries better such that you won't really miss the 3G speeds?

So far I have traveled to Western Europe, UK, USA, China, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan with my Nokia N80.

It's very convenient to be in contact with the home office if you are needed.

The only place you have to concern yourself is Japan which doesn't use 2G.
