2.1 PC Speakers - any suggestions?

im planning to get the creative xfree din! im currently using altec lansing AS45 yata? the white one, isa yata sa mga unang labas...ok paren pero i find it lacking in the high range, but the bass is really great...ang dumi naren kse ng kulay eh, naninilaw just like my cpu.hehe...might give it to my gf nalang and get the black one by creative.

Oooh. Nice. But, he does want just 2.1's plus I think it's just a wee bit out of his P4k budget....

Even my Logitech Z-2300's is out. It was $90 a year and a half ago at newegg.com. Now, it's up to $106. You'd think the price would go down after a long time.....

ayos!! i just got myself the altec lansing ATP3. eto naka-install na sa PC ko :D ganda sound for a fair price! i was choosing between this model and the altec lansing VS2221 and creative T3030. di ko type yung style ng T3030. then yung demo unit ng VS2221 me 'cracking' sound when i turn the volume control! so natakot ako, baka in the long-run maging ganun yung speakers ko. at least yung ATP3 demo unit walang problema kahit i-turn-up & turn-down ko ung volume. ayos na ayos patugtugin yung MOS Hou***y cd dito! :D

Dami ko nakikitang Edifier, don't know if its good. Altec Lansing matagal na brand na pero which model is good? How about the JBL Creature II, maganda ba siya?

My budget is P1500 to P4000. I'm willing to spend 4k just as long as obvious ang sound difference sa low-end ones.

to stick with your budget i would recommend the creative 2.1 unit (i just forgot the model) pero i saw it sa octagon computer store sa park square 1. it costs around 2.8k.

or still the ever reliable altec lansing atp3. it costs around 3.8k sa avant.

we have here at the office both the Creative SBS 2.1 370 and the Altec Lansing ATP3, the ATP3 sounds way way much better.

for 1.3k range get creative SBS370, for 2k above get ATP3

pero mas gusto ko yung creative kasi yung cabled remote pwede sa harap mo, then yung satellite speakers pwede ilagay sa mataas na bahagi or 2meters from each other..

ive tested the edifier 2.2k, mas maganda pa ang output ng SBS370, hindi basag yung bass..

i need to replace my old altec lansing 2.1 PC speakers. i see a lot of brands in the market (creative, labtec, JBL, harman kardon, etc), nakakalito. basta relatively priced at yung tipong pwede din para sa ipod, gaming, watching videos/dvds. are there any websites to help me get reviews/rankings of PC speakers?

They don't make them anymore, but they're still available...and still one of the best 2.1 speakers!
