Barrichello was always overshadowed by Schumacher when he was still with Ferrari. I can still remeber the race wherein the pit asked Barrichello to let Schumi win the race even though he had the lead throughout. He was raving mad after the race but he can't do anything. Yun kasi ang script ng Ferrari, si Schumi dapat palagi. But Ferrari cannot deny the fact that without Barrichello as a support unit, Schumi wouldn't win that easily in his races.
His moving out from the Ferrari team is the best move he ever did. I believe that Barrichello will be a top contender in the F1 championship in years to come.

Wow! Renault cheated at Singapore last year so that FA will win!
By Nelson Piquet Jr:
12. I intentionally caused the crash by letting go of control of the car just before the relevant corner. In order to make sure I would cause the incident during the correct lap, I asked my team several times via the radio to confirm the lap number, which I would not normally do. I was not injured during the accident, nor was anyone else.

FA's response:
“I’m very surprised. I cannot imagine these things, these situations. It’s something that never entered my mind. I will not comment too much about this, as the team said we will not comment. For me it's not even the time to think or to pay attention to this, because it's difficult to understand this situation and this investigation. It's just another day, and I'm trying to prepare the Monza race and trying to get a good result here, so I'm fully concentrated on the job.”

Actual radio communications:
Symonds offered immunity as radio transcript leaked
Further information regarding the alleged Renault crash conspiracy during last year’s inaugural Singapore Grand Prix has been leaked with The Times publishing a copy of the radio conversations leading up to and just after Nelson Piquet’s accident on lap 17.
It was also revealed that after intensive questioning at the Belgian Grand Prix where Engineering Director Pat Symonds refused to answer all the questions put to him, that the FIA has now offered him immunity in return for his complete and honest testimony at next week’s court hearing in front of the World Motor Sport Council.
The transcript includes quizzical comments from engineers to Symonds about Alonso’s strategy, the engineer concerned about dropping the double world champion to the rear of the field by bringing him too early. However, Symonds assures him that he knows it will all be okay.
The other pitlane engineers are then heard wondering why Nelson Piquet is asking what lap he is on, something that is shown on his pitboard on a regular basis, but Symonds is heard saying....
"No, just tell him, he is about, he’s just completing, he’s about to complete lap eight.”
After this the Symonds is heard making his decision for Alonso to stop on lap 12 instead of lap 14 and switching to the two stop strategy…
“It’s only a couple of laps short. We’re going to be stopping him early and we’re going to go to lap 40.”
Once again the other unnamed engineer quizzes the decision as the move will drop Alonso back to last in the race…
“Pat, do you still not think that this is a bit too early?” to which Symonds replies: “No, no it’s going to be all right.”
Then after Alonso’s stop, all attention is turned to Piquet and Symonds tells his engineer to make him push as hard as he can. Briatore also tells them to make him push. Moments after the fateful call is given....
“Nelson, no excuses now, you’ve got to get past Barrichello. You’ve got four clicks straight-line advantage. Come on, you’ve got to push now, you must get past him.”
…Nelson crashes at turn 17 and the safety car is out and the rest is history…..

IMHO, this seems safe for Pat. It was unclear that an instruction was given to crash his car. It may be an internal arrangement among them (Pat, Flavio and Nelson Jr.) which only they can attest.
Kung si Nelson lang ang magsasabi na sadya yung crash as instructed by Pat/Flavio/team, walang pupuntahan ito...

May part 2 pa yung transcripts. The reaction of Flavio is more natural...
Immediately after the shunt that tore off two wheels and left the Brazilian’s car crunched against the circuit’s concrete barriers, Piquet is heard to say: “Sorry, guys. I had a little outing.”
An engineer asks: “Is he all right? Is he all right?” Then Symonds is heard to say: “Ask him if he’s all right.”
The engineer then questions Piquet on the radio: “Are you OK? Are you OK?” after which Piquet, who escaped the accident without serious injury, replies: “Yeah, I hit my head in the back. I think I’m OK.”
A little later an engineer, who is believed to have known nothing of any conspiracy, reflects on what he has just seen of the crash on the television monitor. “F***ing hell that was a big shunt,” he says.
At this point, several minutes after the accident, Briatore intervenes for the first time and his reaction is to criticise Piquet, not express any concern for him. “F***ing hell . . . my every f***ing disgrace, f***ing, he’s not a driver,” he says.
Mosley wants Briatore's neck. Malaki atraso ni Flavio kay Max...

Sauber has found a buyer. Will make it to 2010 afterall.
BMW Sauber sold to Swiss company
The BMW Sauber team has confirmed that a buyer has been found in the Swiss Qadbak Investments company. The firm hopes to find a place on the 2010 Formula One grid as the FIA writes to all entrants in order to request permission to enter a fourteenth team.
With Bavarian manufacturer BMW having announced its departure from F1 in July, the team hopes to remain as part of the field following a successful sale to Qadbak, 'a Swiss-based foundation which represents the interests of certain Middle East and European-based families' and which is also rumoured to be the secret owner of England's Notts County football club.
'BMW wishes Qadbak and the Sauber Team every success for the 2010 season and beyond,' a Tuesday statement reads. Sky claim the deal with Qadbak, headed by Swiss entrepreneur Lionel Fischer, to be in the region of £40m.

September 16th, 2009 06:02 AM #502010 FIA Formula One World Championship - New Entries
Following an intensive selection and due diligence process, the FIA has awarded the 13th entry in the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship to the Lotus F1 Team.
The FIA also received an impressive application from the BMW Sauber Team. However, given that BMW has announced it will withdraw its support in 2010, there are still uncertainties regarding the future ownership of the team.
Nevertheless, the FIA considers that BMW Sauber’s application is of high quality and would constitute a competitive participant in the Championship. As such, it has awarded BMW Sauber the '14th place' in the Championship meaning that it will be entitled to fill any vacancy that arises on the 2010 grid.
In addition, the FIA believes that a good case can be made for expanding the grid to 14 teams. The FIA will be consulting urgently with the existing teams regarding the introduction of an appropriate rule change to expand the grid to 28 cars in time for the first Grand Prix in 2010.
Detailed below is information about the new team that has been confirmed to compete in the Championship from next year.
Company Name: 1Malaysia F1 Team Sdn Bhd
Team Name: Lotus F1 Team
Country: Malaysia
Team Principal: Tony Fernandes
A partnership between the Malaysian Government and a consortium of Malaysian entrepreneurs, 1Malaysia F1 Team returns the Lotus name as a constructor to Formula One for the first time since 1994. The team will initially be based at the RTN facility in Norfolk, UK, some 10 miles from the Lotus Cars factory. A 50,000 square foot fully equipped facility, RTN was built by Toyota for its initial Formula One programme and then used by Bentley for its successful Le Mans programme.
The team’s future design, R&D, manufacturing and technical centre will be purpose built at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit.
Team Principal Tony Fernandes is the founder and CEO of the Malaysian-based Tune Group, owner of the Air Asia airline. The team’s Technical Director Mike Gascoyne has over 20 years of experience in Formula One having previously performed the same role for the Force India, Toyota, Renault and Jordan Formula One teams.
As part of its application to compete in the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship, the team has agreed an engine supply deal with Cosworth and a wide variety of technical partnerships including Xtrac and FondTech.
