Glenn10::: You might want to back off atleast 1 meter after switching to 2H from 4H or 4L. To disengage the transfer case. Is it a hard cluncking sound?
I suggest you change them, lumulutong po ito katagalan and heat from the differential. :D

Try manually locking and unlocking the front hubs using your tire wrench. If all else fails, BRING THE VITARA! :D

And sir OTEP's idea is a good one too, you may also wanto to consider it your 2nd option to bring the VITARA! 3rd option na yung checking ng differential exhaust.

May nagsabi sa akin if worse terrain and 4L couldn't get the job done, switching it to LOCK mode will also help acting like a differential lock. Though I'm still skeptikal about this part wherein it will act as a front diff lock.
Another opinion from other sources say that it is more advisable to lock the front hubs when offroading than in auto mode.

Yung bang same as a conventional free wheel hub pero pwedeng i-override yung tendency ng auto hub to inadvertently unlock during some off-road situations (i.e. rocking the vehicle back and forth to free it) by manually locking it.
So in theory, pwede siyang i-lock gaya ng manual hub. Para handa for anything.
