You should budget for gasoline, obviously. Most tracks are kinda far away. Tires are not a big problem. One day at the track won't wear them down, but they should be relatively new-ish, so you can avoid incidents. Obviously, you should bring a full-sized spare, a pump and a can or two of fix-a-flat to be safe.

You should try to attend track days with fresh brakes (but should be broken in already), freshly rotated and aligned tires, and fresh oil (not necessary, but better). Make sure the car is in good condition and doesn't overheat.

Also, take it easy for the first few laps. Get some heat in your brakes and tires before pushing it. You should learn you car's limits before testing them. No drifting, no trail-braking (especially if you have no ABS)... nothing fancy unless you're rich or have lots of track experience.

Try not to run for more than 15 minutes at a time to avoid overheating and possible breakdown.

Track rental is expensive unless you're part of a big group. Last I heard it was maybe 20k for half a day. If there are ten guys in your group, you can get a track day (half-a-day is enough) for maybe 2500 each... or much lower if there are more of you.

And it's a good idea to have a towtruck or to budget money for a towing service just in case. If you're a big group, you can pitch in to rent one or put money in a contingency fund should you need to call for a tow.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
