1. single engine per race weekend. drivers may switch to the spare car but must "transplant" the previously used engine to avoid being bumped 10 grid positions from qualifying
2. rear wing will now only have two (2) elements. wing-end plates size and engine cover size increased.
3. Friday qualifying is scrapped and move to Saturday. So two (2) qualifying sessions for Saturday run a few minutes apart. First qualifying will be run in the finishing order of the previous race. Second qualifying will still run the slowest driver from the earlier session first.

looks like items 1 & 3 is to ensure engine longevity / durability. and also to cut down on cost.
