Ok po ba 4x4s na A/T for serious off-roading? Curious lang po.
Thanks.

How serious are we talking here?
Muds and rocks? Or the usual route and trails we occasionally traverse?
Offroad trails nowadays are dry with some stream portions which A/Ts can handle well. While on rainy seasons it is better to be equiped with M/Ts.

A/T's are more tolerant with water since they are sealed by nature. With a M/T, water can enter the breather tube, the top (where the shiftlever enters) and the bellhousing when you step on the clutch midstream (a big no no).
Just ask the www.outdoorwire.com fellows how many M/T's they have broken in off-roading. The matics are virtually bulletproof.
Btw, I think I broke my tranny na. It makes some horrendous sounds already. Maybe I'll open it up when I graduate from my summer classes in automotive repair.

A/Ts are generally preferred for off-roading (yung mga gusto ng M/T personal preference na lang yun, more challenging)... no clutch to worry about while rock crawling on a precarious cliff side, and the clutch is a part that is prone to damage...

anyway, kung tires, shempre MTs, kung transmission, MT pa rin pala. kasi mas kontrolado mo ang speed eh... pero kung mas madalas mong gagamitin as a daily driver ang ride and bihira lang for offroad, pwede na rin matic...
