Yung Australian mags ok if you want to set up for long distance expedition-type off-roading.

Yung 4x4MAG ng Japan nakakatuwa talaga ang english. hehehe. :mrgreen:

JP offroad nagustuhan ko kasi maraming technical stuff na para sa mga DIYers like me. Kaso nga lang medyo "greek" yung ibang terminology and the parts are not really very available off the shelves like in US.

However, since most sasakyan naman ay generic, magandang introduction yung articles nila when doing DIY.

Suggest ko sana, why don't WE (as Diesel.org) do a magazine local scenario! It could be a good activity that we could turn into income generating activity ng group, pang political lobbying and hobby na rin.

otep, meron ka bang mga australian na magazines? nahihiya kasi akong buksan sa national bookstore yung mga magazine nila e.

imo, 4x4Magazine is pretty useless. the spec sheet is very sparse and the reviews are very light... ni wala pa ngang concrete off-road commentary yung mga reviews nila e. some of their emphasis is a bit brow-raising, like dati meron silang "comparison" ng mga small SUVs, they had one photo section devoted entirely to the placement of the hazard switch... eyng?

Overlander is pretty good...

car & driver is ok if you want on-road evaluations as well

Car & Driver is what I buy every month for the past 10 years or so. They're a good all around magazine. They test everything from sports cars to firetrucks.

4X4 mag is amusing talaga if only for the great detail shots (e.g. the 'hazard switch' comparo). Dami sila details na pinapakita like where the tools are stored, etc. Stuff you don't get to see on other mags.

Overlander also gets my vote. Ganda ng mga products. But may online version naman so yun na lang ang tinitignan ko.

car & driver costs P350 per issue... available sa major bookstores but supply goes fast. sa mga magazine stores usually meron. ok ito... lahat talaga ng bagay nai-review na, kahit P-51 Mustang, nuclear submarine, abrams tank, minesweepers, mala-higanteng fire extinguisher... :mrgreen:

4x4 Australia has my vote. A lot of tech articles, accessories, one-on-one comparisons and similar vehicles to what's sold here.

A yearly subscription is 20% cheaper than store price.
