Just read it in the this month's C!, courtesy of the mini-F1 magazine inserted there.

Mika is 110% sure that he wants to go back to F1. The problem is that he wants a top-caliber team to be with.

Well, if ever he does come back, i hope he's still in shape, physically and mentally.

Frankly, F1 is so boring these days. All that's left to find out is who's in second place.

from the interview... he's been working out vigorously... 3 days of work-out then 1 day of rest, then 3 days of work-out again then rest... more on cardio exercises...

The last time I truly enjoyed watching F1 was during the Senna-Prost-Mansell days. Slick tyres, turbos...... Honda 1.5L Turbo V6s kicking Ferrari V12 *ss!!!

    Haaay, the olden days....

The engine restrictions are killing F1. They should stop limiting displacement and turbos and focus more on governing aerodynamics and speed.

Survival of the fittest will surely weed out the impractical short-lifespan engines, especially with the new rules in place... and maybe we'll see Wankels and Honda screamers again! If you mandate a certain engine lifespan requirement AND a certain fuel cell size, no engine design should have an inherent advantage over any other.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

oh no!!! Hakkinen signs up with DTM rather than F1!!!

Hakkinen to make racing comeback in DTM next year

LONDON: Former Formula One world champion Mika Hakkinen will make his race comeback with Mercedes next year in the German DTM touring car series, the carmaker announced yesterday.

Hakkinen, the 1998 and 1999 world champion with Mercedes-powered McLaren, retired from Formula One in 2001 but tested a DTM car in Germany last month. He will race an AMG-Mercedes C class in the series.

The 36-year-old Finn had also been linked to a possible Formula One comeback with Williams, who still have a vacancy after failing to secure Briton Jenson Button from BAR.

“After the end of my Formula One career in 2001, I soon realised that I'm not ready to retire for good,” Hakkinen said in a Mercedes statement.

“It was just the right moment that Mercedes-Benz offered me to test a DTM car. I saw immediately that I still enjoy racing very much and, during the test three weeks ago, my lap times were at the same level as those of the touring car specialists.”

Hakkinen hopes to be competitive soon in a championship that has given a career extension to other retired Formula One drivers such as France's Jean Alesi and Germany's Heinz-Harald Frentzen.

“I look forward to an interesting season with exciting battles against my former Formula One colleagues, as well as against the young DTM drivers, and to see again my fans,” said Hakkinen.

“I'm especially happy about returning to the Mercedes family – I'm back, but I've never been really gone.” – Reuters

i think mika will prove to be a formidable foe to schumi when he joins Williams, BAR or Renault. Them being the closest match to Ferrari last season. Sayang lang 'cause he chose touring cars. tsk tsk tsk...
    another schumi season ahead.

Mika wants to come back!
