Word of warning sa mangagaling at uuwi pa ng manila on this date to watch/join the race:

SUPER GRABE ang trafic sa NLEX, road works on north bound lane starting Sn Simon exit (Exit after the viaduct or Pulilan Exit) up to San Fernando Exit. At dahil totally close ang north bound lanes nito at nakiki-counter flow lang sa southbound lane... the traffic can reach as far as almost the viaduct (di ko alam kung buong stretch).

I saw this morning na ang traffic tail was at the end of the viaduct na!!!. A friend said it took them 1 and half hours to reach San Simon Exit.

I'm not sure kung tapos na itong roadworks na ito by saturday next week (Mar 8)...I sincerely doubt....

I suggest you do the corresponding time adjustment or take alternate routes. I have tried both the "mac arthur road route" and the "baliwag-sta. ana route".... of these two, I'll take the later route kasi mas less ang nakaka alam ng road na ito and so mabilis ang travel time. Sa mac arthur matrafic din sa town area lalo na pagmeron nag-bastos umobertake or may kasabay kang maraming trucks ng bato.

we left makati 2:30am, reach san fernando at 5am.
its a 24hr. traffic jam.
i advise you exit pulilan and pass through calumpit ad apalit via macarthur hiway.
4 months daw at least gagawin ang NLEX.

Hindi ko ginagawa iyan sa NLEX kasi mahirap sumingit. Lumulusot lang ako sa island kung maluwag sa harapan ng inuunahan.

Negative sa "island" marami ng gumagawa nuon dito ngayon pero ganun pa rin....the island in some parts is sloping hindi kasi pantay ang south bound and north bound side.

The 330 to 4 am is not a bad idea for you Jaycrew kc you would be from laguna pa. My estimate for you is that you would reach pulilan at around 5-530am...if you exit pulilan and take the mac arthur hiway via calumpit....kung walang trafic gaano you'll be in sn simon exit na before 630 or even sn fernando na (should you decide to take the mac arthur hiway all the way to sn fernando).

I know the other possible alternative routes...for those who dare try them....IMO the mac arthur is the "simplest" route such that those that are sanay sa norte will take it and thus it wouldn't be a surprise kun maging congested din ito. I'll try to post a picture/drawing nito.

Depende kung saan kayo dadaan. If you take the NLEX, add at least 1.5hrs na (rumors say 2 hrs). If you take alternative roads baka less than that.

Would you guys agree if we adjust our departure time to compensate for the traffic in San Simon-San Fernando NLEX? I think it is much better if we would leave an hour earlier as planned. :idea:

I was planning 0430hrs departure from Manila plus 2 hours travel time (excluding traffic allocation). Then, MAYBE reach San Fernando exit at 0700hrs.
