Not the fault of the track. The opportunity for good overtaking was there, and there were a lot of moves throughout the race.

The big problem is they brought the wrong tires. Nico showed it was possible to finish on ONE set of tires. Pitting on the first lap means he did nearly 99% of the race on the second set. With the proper, less durable tires, (supersoft and soft), we could have had more fighting due to different strategies. Instead, people were going around as long as possible, gingerly tiptoeing around braking zones to avoid flat-spots and the need to take a disastrous pit stop.

It was like the Michelin era all over again...

I like the track. The parabolic Turn Three leading into Turn Four is a good set-up for a braking due at Five. The 15-16 dogleg produced some good racing/driving... reminiscent of the similar backfield of Suzuka. And the drag race off the starting line was epic and surprisingly devoid of carnage.

The one thing they have to do is put some barriers at the Turn Two run off to force the drivers to slalom before getting back on track.

The Marussia Formula 1 Team will not be racing at the American Grand Prix next weekend. After the absence of Caterham because of financial problems, it is now also confirmed that Marussia will stay at their headquarters.

F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone told Reuters: "Marussia and Caterham will not be racing in Austin."

Caterham has received dispensation of Ecclestone from racing in America and Brazil, whilst it's unsure of they will be in Abu Dhabi, for the last race of the season. Marussia's future is in doubt as well, due to financial problems.

Plenty dog fights at the rear and front... depleted field so not much mobile chicanes. Hamiltons 5th win in a row.

I wonder what happened to the almost half-a-second advantage of Britney over PussyCatDoll (thanks again bro.Niky), during qualifying?

Oh well,- just goes to show that PSD is a notch higher in skill than B, and barring any car issue,- is sliding his way into the WDC....

I don't see Pussy Cat doing anything outrageous this race. He's got to preserve his points going into the last race of the season. Britney may just win it.

Or not... Being a big Senna fan, Pussy Cat is definitely going to want to make a statement here. The start will be very interesting. I won't be surprised if he goes from hero to zero within the first few corners. But if he makes it stick, he'll have a commanding lead over Britney in the last race.

Still, it's anyone's championship. Rosberg has shown, a number of times now, the ability to drive through problems that have put Hamilton out of the race... simply because Rosberg is gentler on his brakes, not being as aggressive on the coast-regen-brake cycle as Lewis... because Rosberg is not as aggressive there, he uses more fuel, but he doesn't push his brakes as hard over the course of the race.

I sure as hell hope it isn't decided by a flip of a coin... a random parts failure... in the last race. But what a Cinderella story that would be... outqualifying a former World Champion and widely-touted qualifying genius over the course of the season and beating him in a straight fight in the best car on the grid. :grid:

This makes the last race all more interesting.

Britney won the Brazilian GP; with Pussycat Doll in second.....

    Nobody blinks in Abu Dhabi.....

That would be on the 21st at 9PM(MNL) for the Qualifying

And, the 22nd at 9PM(MNL) for the Race....

The incredibly hot track was brutal on tires. Amazing there weren't more retirements and accidents.

Lewis, once again, seemed to have the better race pace than Nico, but that single spin cost him his chance at a challenge. Still... Nico finally won a race in the back-quarter of the season, fair and square in a straight fight. A very important win for him, psychologically.

Now all Nico can do is try to win the next one, too, and hope Lewis comes to grief. This championship is going all the way down to the wire.
