What's up with Brawn GP? How did they do that? From zero to hero! I mean they managed to outdo Mclaren and Ferrari, without any big budgets, sponsors or big manufacturers (except engines from Mercedes Benz) backing them. Honda must be kicking themselves right now.

No. Brawn GP is a product of Honda. Remember last year Honda gave up really early and devoted all their resources for the 2009 car. The 2008 car was abandoned while the big guys were fighting for the championship and thus their resources was focused on the 2008 car. Honda is not a small budget manufacturer.

Honda's decision to leave F1 is purely financial. Joining F1 will still cost them money and they are cutting costs as their #1 priority...

Obviously, they were thinking that the rain will fall before Kimi's tyres get worn out. That's what you get when you do 'precision' timing on something that cannot be 'exactly' predicted -- you either become a genius or a dumb ass. So Ferrari turned out to be a dumb ass.

Kimi shouting on the radio that his tyres were 'completely destroyed', was an indication that it was not his decision to change to wet tyres too early. The tone of his voice and his language, were clearly emphasizing that someone else made a mistake on this one. It's like he was rubbing the salt on someone's open wound.

The biggest losers in this race, were the Sepang ticket holders. Imagine paying good money for a grandstand seat, only to see the race getting red flagged due to rain. The weather was so gloomy and humid, it would have been better to stay at home and watch the whole thing on tv.

Another example of Bernie's greed. Bad for the local audience, bad for the advertisers. And the Europeans whom Bernie loves to please, will just shrug it off and change channels after the red flag. What a farce.

The Brawn Cars did not start from zero. They simply changed management. Which means all the engineers and technicians were the same ones. Only the executives wearing coat and tie whose only job is to give them money, are the ones that had changed. The chassis was already completed the entire 2008. It's not like they have to build the chassis from scratch in just 1 month.

Honda, cannot be kicking themselves right now. The company is in a brink of collapse and might need bailout money from the Japanese government due to the global financial crisis. You can't be asking for bailout money and running a Formula One team at the same time. The Japanese taxpayers might be kicking their asses instead.

By the way, the Brawn Cars might soon be renamed as Virgin Cars later in this season, as Richard Branson might be willing to open up more of his wallet to become a full-pledged title sponsor. Branson should take advantage while the cars are exposed on the podium right now. His Virgin brand is not very prominent.

Yeah but it was too risky with very low chance of success anyway... Kimi is losing more than 10 seconds a lap so in 2 laps more than 20 seconds that already a splash and dash pitstop to change tires when the weather changes... Stupid talaga!
