That's what actually turned me off F1 for the longest time (when Schumi was winning) too frickin boring. But now its all good.

Seems like every driver is working his hardest to ekk out the last 1/100th of a second...

And whats this I read? Kimi already throwing in the towel after just 2 races????? (Now thats what I call fighting spirit. Way to go Kimi! Thats a great way to boost your pit crew's morale!!!)

Heck he doesnt have to go race this Sunday since they're not going to win anyway. He should just go home, sit on a couch and suck a popsicle.

F1 Title over for Ferrari. Raikkonen admits

Kimi Raikkonen has stated that neither he nor team-mate Felipe Massa will be able to challenge for the 2009 world championship.

Ferrari this year kicked off its worst start to a season since 1992, but after just two races in 2009, Finn Raikkonen says it is not realistic to hope to recover and mount a title bid.

"We're never going to be in a position to win the championship (this year) but hopefully we can improve the car and try to win some races later on this season, that's the realistic aim," the 29-year-old told the BBC in Shanghai.

Team boss Stefano Domenicali agrees, arguing that with the diffuser row settled against Ferrari's favour, 'the championship is taking a very clear direction' with the original diffuser teams 'flying away.
    '

Ferrari's Italian boss also defended Raikkonen, amid suggestions his attitude is too complacent.

For example, when mechanics were readying his car amid the Malaysia downpour two weeks ago, the Finn was dressed in shorts, drinking a coke and eating ice-cream.

"No, we had a problem with KERS," Domenicali said. "Because we had time, we tried to understand the problem, but it was not possible to go (back) out."

Yup, judging from the first 2 races and the qualifying in Shanghai, Ferrari sucks big time this season....

2000 was exciting pero the winners were obvious it was either Schumacher or Hakkinen the two elites that time and no one else. This season who would think former back markers become leaders and former leaders became mid fielders.

That's the reason why if a person is just a casual F1 fan who is just interested on 'who' will win the race, the sport is really boring if Schumacher keeps winning all the time.

Hardcore F1 fans do get excited about battles in the midfield and even between backmarkers. It's the driving maneuvers, and the overtaking battles that keep F1 exciting despite the monotonous eventual winners. And if you are really geeky about F1, it's also exciting to see how the different aerodynamic designs and engine tune-ups are matched with the other cars during the race.

A really boring F1 race to me, is when the gap times between cars are so wide, it becomes a rat race procession going in circles, just wasting precious fuel. It doesn't help if you throw in boring circuit designs like Valencia, which looks more like a cage rather than a race circuit.

And all because of the 'diffuser'. Take away the diffuser, and it becomes a Ferrari vs. McLaren all over again. But we can argue that 'interpreting' the design regulations is also a part of the race. So if you are not clever enough to exploit the loopholes in the rules, you can expect to find yourself in a great disadvantage.

F1 Teams exploit loopholes in the rules, all the time. This is not the first time. Before, there were movable floors, so-called illegal winglets, and I'm not sure if people here can still remember those Rabbit-ears sidepanel on the BMW-Sauber that looked ridiculous - until it was ordered removed by FIA for being a safety issue.

Oh boy! Rain to start the GP. Race starts behind a safety car... This is a disadvantage to Vettel, Alonso and Webber because they are light in fuel and they can't use that advantage behind a safety car...

And Raikkonen is slipping down and down... Congratulations to Red Bull for their first ever win and first ever 1-2 and of course Vettel's 2nd career win ang lakas nila this weekend. Vettel was just untouchable in the rain, Webber also drove really well. As usual for Brawn they are still consistent. And as they say in this current points system if you can't win at least get a podium and Jenson did just that...
