Isa pa po akong walang extra fuel container. Pero may spade ako (maliit nga lang) at mga nylon tow ropes. May working gloves din ako.

October 23rd, 2002 01:58 PM #63Sounds like fun guys!
Some advise :
- Don't be cocky, showboating your rigs capabilities or your driving skills might turn out into an embarassing or dangerous situation.
- High cut shoes / boots may strain or restrict your foot while driving.
- Always mind the vehicle behind you. Having 2 way radios will be great for communicating delays / trouble.
- Maintain distance. About a cars length from the vehicle in front of you. If the road is steep/ slippery maintain a greater distance or let one vehicle pass the obstacle one at a time.
Lahar - Bring a portable air compressor and gauge. You may want to air down your tires during the Lahar run to enhance tire "floatation". All terrains will work well here, mild mud terrains too. Directional mud terrains may not be suitable. Air up again on firm ground.
River crossing - Keep your foot of the clutch! If possible do not shift gears in the water. A wet clutch is a bitch.
Recovery - Use an offroad rated recovery strap and shackles. The straps should have some elasticity in them to prevent tow shock. It will also act like a bungee cord for more efficient snatch towing.
Happy trails!
