Anyone know where I can get Avgas or Race gas on a regular basis? I also have heard that Petron will be coming out with REAL 100 octane fuel at 4 locations around Manila. Anyone know more about this? This pretend 95 - 96 octance we get locally is ****.

Sounds interesting... 100 octane?!? Unleaded ba!?! I'm a-gonna wait for that. :D :D :D
If you want race gas, you can buy Outlaw Octane Booster at ACE Hardware in Megamall... medyo mahal nga lang, pero it boosts your octane about seven points... so...
If you have Blaze (97RON), which is most likely 93 test octane, and you mix one full tank with one bottle of Outlaw, it should get you 100 test octane... or 105-110 RON. But BEWARE... it's not O2 sensors safe, so you can't use it for extended periods.
Have you tried STP or other Octane boosters?

aviation gas? on high boost?
I, for one, would not recommend using aviation gas unless you know exactly what you are doing... sure, it will help your engine resist ping and detonation on high boost, but it could seriously f*ck up your electronics (O2 sensors, MAP or MAF... etc.)...

so kapag naka avgas at high boost walang masyadong detonation.
Kasi naka HKS piggy back na chip.

Up to your mechanic... if you trust him and he says it's fine... okay!
ask his advice also about the effects of avgas on your sensors... kung naka-piggyback ka naman, baka puedeng i-dummy nalang yung sensors mo (i.e.; fake sensors to fool your engine management system)... or baka di naman ganuung kalaki ang problem ng avgas... you're not going to use it every day naman. :D

you could also smoke your clutch or fry the electronics
it depends on the car though...if the car is well-built, 1 bar of boost is not too bad for short periods - my friend's eclipse could handle it with no problem
