Too bad for Mitsu... but I wish I could watch! Carlos Sainz is winning!

Hey, where's midnite? Volkswagen/Audi's diesel Touareg is winning the Paris-Dakar! He should be happy!

This is what I mean by fair play. When the R10 won LeMans, it was because it had both a good engine and an overwhelmingly dominant chassis development program (no one has been able to touch the R8 for years)... at least here in Paris-Dakar, they're up against a dominant team (Mitsubishi) and actually winning.

Of course, it might just be the grand master, Carlos Sainz... but it speaks very well for the car and engine itself.

hehehehe. almost done na ang day 14 and mitsu is 1-2 (peterhansel and alphand), schlesser is 3rd. assuming nothing happens on day 15, the last stage, then mitsu should be good to go. :D

    wohooooooooo!

7th straight win na pala to ng Mitsubishi sa Dakar no which is good, talaga lang may malaking reliability problems ang VW Touaregs these days na ginamit nila sa rally..Di katulad ng Pajero na minor lang ang defects(gull wing doors na pala ang Pajero Evo Dakar ngayon no!) May Dakar ngayon(3 P.M at 8 P.M sa ESPN)...

Too bad about VW. While I'm not pro-VW, I would've loved to see Carlos Sainz on the podium of the Dakar.

ganun din naman kasi with Dakar...you may have been leading most of the time, but if you or your machine gives up, tapos agad ang laban. :D

iirc this is the dakar where none of the mitsus ever won any stages.

Kung ako kasi kay Sainz eh lumipat na sya sa Mitsubishi(YES PANALO NANAMAN!!!) para mas masaya ,hindi talaga reliable ang TDI engines ng VW Touareg Dakar Rally Raid cars..

    May Dakar Rally sa ESPN today,5 p.m,5:30 p.m at 2:30 a.m....

    again...mitsu paj rules Dakar....

this rally is one of the most gruelling test of durability, endurance, and performance for both driver and car..... if either the driver nor the car fails in the said test, they surely will not win this race....

Apparently, Mitsu did not rule Dakar in Modified Diesel 4x4.

Surprisingly, No.8 and Isuzu D-Max. First time sumali.

That's because the Pajero is gasoline.

Hmmm... VW has been kicking BMW's butt for the past two or three Dakars. Sayang... the BMW X5 was an amazing stock-bodied contender in the Dakar when it first came out. Maybe with the new body and newer engines, they can take that spot from them.

The real issue in the Paris Dakar is when a diesel vehicle will take overall top honors from the Mitsubishis. They're getting closer, they just didn't get close enough, this time.

The problem is yung turbo diesel powered Dakar rally raid cars aren't that reliable...Anyway maganda ang move ng Mitsubishi to stick sa gas powered cars.

Hindi naman... VW and BMW have been getting top ten positions (overall) for the past few years. Problem lang is the Mitsubishis are just too damn reliable compared to everything else...
