Nancy Binay prepares for more attacks

Binay, a UP tourism graduate, expects senior members of the chamber to reach out to her.

BTW, Grace Poe admitted that she will be taking some classes on legislation as well, to learn all the 'protocols' and such.

Still, Grace Poe has that air of dignity, that charismatic way of speaking... and you can see from her responses that she has a brain behind that persona. She was active politically beforehand as well, and served as the MTRCB chair.

When you look at Nancy Binay, listen to her interviews, take in her statements and recent actions... she looks and sounds clueless. She could've proved all of us doubters wrong by engaging in meaningful debates and appearing more often nationally during the election period...

But she didn't.

That's what earned her the relentless ire of thinking netizens. She took the safest route with the least chances to do something monumentally dumb. Appearing and appealing instead locally to the masa, to make them see her as one of them, as someone they think they could easily relate to.

After that, with the rags-to-riches, pangit-to-maganda, lowly to powerful teleserye mentality playing a part (why can't a simple PA be able to become a Senator kuno), coupled with the Binay 'Ganito Kami sa Makati' illusion.... the rest is history.

Now that the smoke has settled (has anyone seen Senator Binay? ) and the winners have been proclaimed, let us be quiet, stop the name calling, end the color bashing, and let us watch/observe them do their work. Let us judge them after 6 months time if they are indeed competent (OJT, neophyte, or what have you) and then we make some noise again. Wala na tayo magagawa ngayon, nakaupo na sila, unless an impeachment comes along.

Time to move on people of the Philippines.
