Depends on the perpective, some people say utang is savings in advance. Utang is money you have now for buying things today that you can save for tomorrow (or 10-20 years later). Madami ako savings hahahaha!

Utang is savings only if you don't have to pay for it(or the interest for that matter) later :D

Utang is good only if you manage to invest and get more money out of it.

Borrowing to invest is dangerous. The only time it makes sense is if you can lock in a low interest rate, lower than what the expected market return is for the same time period as the loan. That's quite rare though.

Borrowing to fund a business is more sensible, but again, if you can't turn a profit before the loan is up, you'll be buried in debt through interest payments.

Compare mo yung housing loan rate na 24% in year 1990s to the present 6.25% di mo ba sasamantalahin, ofw ka man o hindi?

Marami rin kasing OFW na kulang sa financial literacy. Actually pinoys in general, but OFWs are more vulnerable because they earn more so mas kailangan na marunong sila magmanage ng pera nila.

I'm happy seeing a lot of people who have made it their advocacy to spread financial literacy to anyone willing to listen.

Funny thing parang napaka degrading on his part to be called as an OFW pero ang totoo OFW naman talaga. Matter of semantics lang.

Mas sosyal and bigtime sounding ba kung expat?

Dati nga OCW pa tawag diba?

Even dito samin as long as you work abroad no matter if blue collar/white collar lahat kayo OFW.
