Less airbags, no ABS, no traction control etc....I am talking here of bang for the buck.

As for gasoline, based on my discussion with a relative who was vacationing here last week (he is from CA), the price of their 89 RON gasoline when converted from $/gallon to P/liter, is about the same price as our diesel.... And they're already complaining....

Appreciate comments from Tsikoteers in the US.

Precisely, at marami pang trim na pagpipilian in a particular model, almost a dozen...
unlike sa pinas 2 or 3 trims lang, kung hindi gaso or diesel, bihira din ang limited
    edition...minsan isa lang talaga...

From my own experience, food like prawn and other seafood. Where else can we have basinful of steamed/fried tiger prawn as pulutan and guzzle it like beer (SMB of course)? Definitely not in the US.

Gas is super cheap in the states, thanks to very low taxes and partial subsidy, but it's also cheap here. Aside from the US and the mid-east, there are very few countries that have cheaper gas than us.

Lobster and crab is also pretty cheap here! We can munch on crustaceans to our hearts content, but elsewhere these guys are pretty pricey.

    In Philippine pesos($1=P41):

    $2.83/3.79L= P116.03

    1L=P30.62

I'm not sure if that's cheaper. What's the price of unleaded gasoline in the Philippines? Also, is there even 87 octane gasoline over there? Most I've read in this forum indicates 89 or better.

**SIGH** I remember when it used to be $1.60/gal when we first moved here (AZ) in 2003.

It's still less than say, England where it just hit $7/gal. Ouch! Hmmm. I feel better already!

Price of diesel here is P38.xx/L.

    Shell:
    Unleaded 93RON is P43.xx/L
    Premium 93RON is P44.xx/L
    V-Power 95RON is P45.xx/L
    approx.

As expected, mura pa sa diesel (iyong 87 sa US...)

    Bro.,- I am surprised.

Am not sure about the prices of cars in Dubai.

However, did I get it right that the prices of gasoline are more expensive there in Dubai than here in the Philippines? Can you kindly share how much they cost over there?

What is inexpensive here in the Philippines that is expensive in other countries?
