Napansin ko lang majority ng mga kandidato natin ay..Asawa,anak,apo, tiyuhin o basta kamaganak ng dati nang nakaupo(yung iba generasyon na may hawak sa isang probinsiya). O kaya artista. O kaya isang taong by stroke of chance biglang sumikat (negative or positive)at ngayon gusto ng tumakbo at biglang nagkaron ng pagnanais "magsilbi" sa kapwa.

IMO Parang lahat may agenda. IMO lang po.

i my opinion, everybody has and should have an agenda whether good or bad. this will make them a good or bad senator.

but what's important is to vote using the candidate's qualifications, track record and loyalty to principles as basis of one's choice.

i will never, never vote according to party/coalition/unity ek-ek, whatever. especially now that it's like a circus.

if i cannot get 12 candidates, so be it. i will just vote according to my conscience and who i think are the best for the country, no matter, if they're only 2, 3, 5, 10.

+1 on doc tsikot re: agenda.

Plus, we should get over already the notion that politicians should have a halo over their head. The Filipino people is also to blame for this whole ruckus.

Take the case for legislative positions (senate & congress), the pork barrel is really not necessary since they only create, amend or repeal laws. But due to the "demands" of the people that their Senator or Congressman build roads/schools/bridges, contributes to fiestas, shoulders the burial expense of the boor, etc. this became necessary.

+1 mga bosses. and halos parang nagiging popularity contest na ang politics satin. not because your known or "sikat" means one is capable of doing good for the filipino people and the country. i agree with tsikot i dont care if mapuno ko yun 12 kahit 5 lang mavote ko as long as i know their intentions are good and they are really capable and knowledgeable.

In the U.S. where one would expect allegedly the most "literate" voters and sophisticated electoral process, dalawang Bush na ang naging Presidente. The Kennedy clan has also been lording it over their electoral states/districts for more than 6 decades and baka si Hillary pa ang susunod na Presidente.

BTW, lintek din ang problema nila sa pork barrel, laking iskandalo din ng mga bridges that lead to nowhere at mga uneccessary infrastructure named after the wives and relatives of incumbent congressmen and senators. Same din MO, ginagawa ang project sa liblib na lugar like Alaska.

What Choices do we have?
