Nasaktan ako sa picture na ito.
    Parang Tanga itong Mar Roas.

The Pinoys have always been dependent on foreigners for their rescue since the US Bases time pa.

    Until now they still are.

mas maganda kasi ang view sa buhangingan kesa sa tubig mismo.

    matapang nga sila sa tubig

pero tama nga si bro kimpoy. once when we were island hopping in davao, the operators of our pumpboat decided to strut their swimming prowess via diving down deep in the open waters off samal island. putrages na mga baga iyan, walang-wala sa kanila iyong mga 30 feet sisid at tumagal dun. ako hanggang siguro mga 15 feet lang akyat kagad tapos grabe na hingal ko hehe

Asking why we don't have technical divers is like asking why we don't have a Formula One driver from the Philippines. Most locals simply don't have the time, the money or the opportunity to train for it.

There's a difference between "hindi kaya kasi walang kakayahan" and "hindi kaya kasi walang pera". A lot of people are too dense to see the difference.

Haha... It's cheaper to buy tickets to Bora and post the pics on FB. Underwater? Who'll see you there? :D Pwede pa surfing, cool ka tignan.

But yes, diving is expensive from what i know. The question here is not how many Pinoys like diving but how trained are our emergency services to meet such demands such as search and rescue at sea or high up in the mountains, on a large scale. Also, how fast can we respond to that given that the first few minutes and hours are very critical for survivors.

Regular SCUBA... necessary for rescue. Technical? Not so much. If they're that far down, they're most likely dead, already.
