    Supreme Court rules Internet libel as constitutional



    Matapos ang halos dalawang taong pagkabinbin sa Supreme Court (SC), maisasabatas na ang kontrobersiyal na Republic Act No. 10175—o mas kilala bilang Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

    Sa desisyon na nailabas ngayong araw, February 18, pinaboran ng Korte Suprema ang pagiging constitutional ng online libel, na unang inalis ng Department of Justice (DOJ) noong 2013.

    technically, laws in the philippines can only be enforced in the philippines and its territories.
    kung nasa ibang bansa ka, a similar law applies and can be implemented.

    Walng borders ang internet, mahirap ma enforce yung batas na iyan sa dami ng technicalities. Paano kung ginamit lang yung pangalan mo tapos nag-post sa isang internet cafe or public wifi.

    Paano kung ang katotohanan eh pangit ang isang tao tapos post mo sa internet PANGIT cya, libel pa rin ba yun despite telling the truth ?

    Pretty much.

    If there is any value judgment in your post... or even if your post is plain facts and people can take it to mean judgment is implied... you can be sued for libel.
