I agree.

I'd love to see how the apologists of Pandak worm their way out of this one.

He is presently being "debriefed" by the PNP kuno and being given
    "an offer he can't refuse".

Talagang Mafia-style na kumilos si GMA and family. Si FG is Marlon Brando
(the Godfather) and Mikey and Dato are Sonny and Michael Corleone!

Kawawang Lozada.

Blue Ribbon chief: Lozada disappearance has 'chilling effect'

Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano said Wednesday that the sudden and mysterious disappearance of would-be Senate investigation witnesses Rodolfo "Jun" Lozada Jr. has created a"chilling effect" because it means that those in power can take people into their custody without explanation.

"It's really sending a message that mess with us we can get you wherever you are. This should not be allowed to happen in our country," said Cayetano, chairman of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, the lead panel investigating the government's scrapped national broadband network project.

Cayetano said that the Philippine National Police has given conflicting statements in relation to the custody of Lozada.

"Sabi nila this morning nandyan sa Camp Crame. This afternoon, an hour ago our Sergeant-at-Arms went there at sinabing wala daw sa PSPO (Police Security Protection Office), wala daw sa Crame, not under their custody but binabantayan ng mga tao nila," he said.

(They said this morning that Lozada is in Camp Crame. This afternoon, out Sergeant-at-Arms went there but PSPO said Lozada is not in their custody, not in Crame, but is being guarded by PSPO men.)

"Why don’t they just show Mr. Lozada, bring him to the Senate, nandito iyung media and we can watch him here and he'll be safe here para matapos itong usapang ito (the media's here...so this issue could end)," said Cayetano.

The senator also said that senators are outraged that "that this can happen in our international airports," referring to Lozada's disappearance at the Ninoy Aquino International Aiport.

Lozada was reported missing Tuesday afternoon while his family and members of the Senate's arresting team were waiting for him at the airport.

The family said it was Lozada who asked them to inform the Senate about his arrival. They said the public official was ready to be arrested and give his testimony about "damaging information" to the Senate.

    Here and there
PNP chief Avelino Razon admitted that Lozada is being protected by the police but declined to disclose the public official’s whereabouts because of security reasons.

Lozada flew to Hong Kong two hours before the Senate resumed its inquiry last Wednesday into the botched $329-million NBN scandal.

"Its not enough to say that Mr. Lozada is with him and for him to come here we want to make sure that he is not under duress. We want to make sure his family is safe. Doon pa lang papasok kung ipapa-testify namin siya o hindi (It's up to us if we'll let him testify or not)," Cayetano said

As of this posting, Cayetano said they have yet to figure out Lozada's location.

He said that according to information Wednesday morning, Lozada and his family were at the PSPO headquarters in Crame. Toward the afternoon, the senator said that Lozada was no longer at the police camp.

"Hindi nila (PSPO) alam kung nasaan but they're in contact with their own people guarding him (The PSPO doesn't know where he is but they are in contact with the guards)," Cayetano said.

The senator added that based on information from the family's lawyer, the government official's guards informed them that they will produce Lozada when he is needed to testify for the hearing.

Cayetano said said he already asked the PNP to stop taking orders from personalities who do not know the law.

With the PNP’s conflicting statements, Cayetano said he will not be surprised if they sing a different tune on Thursday.

"Maybe it’s now the Arroyo National Police rather than the Philippine National Police because just last week they said they will be neutral. They will not arrest but they will not protect. Now they are protecting and now they are singing a different tune," he said.

"But to settle this matter, let the media and people be the judge. Put Mr. Lozada in a neutral place. Make sure he is safe, protected. Make sure he is not under duress, his family is ok then we will take the second step of his testimony." With a report from ANC

Nag-surface na si Lozada. He held a press conference at the La Salle Greenhills past 2AM/Feb 7, where he mentioned that Abalos was asking for a $130M commission from the NBN deal. The Senate Sgt. at Arms, finally took him to the Senate at around 4AM, in convoy with the media and La Salle Brothers and Sisters.

Langya itong si Abalos! $130M ang gustong commission? (putcha.....that is P5,200,000,000 tama ba?) Buwaya! He-he!
