My only means to go to work is to pass NLEX everyday. Imagine kung bibisikletahin ko yan araw-araw.....approx. 32 kms one way.... kasabay mo pa mga balasubas na jeepney, buses at trucks....

yun isang kakilala namin na biker near sa farm namin. medyo may kaya din si tatang and ginagawa niya ang pagbibisikleta for health reasons. He rides with a large group for safety purposes.... inararo minsan yun ride nila ng isang delivery van.... patay si tatang... RIP tatang...

point is just coz you ride a bike doesnt mean you got the solution to the modern world's woes

you buy stuff from a supermarket. how does the stuff get to the supermarket? are the stuff delivered to the supermarket using bicycles?

do you use plastic bags? you buy bottled water? what's the container made of? where does the container go after you throw it away?

your carbon footprint is bigger than you think

you ride a bike. the bike is made in factories abroad. they were shipped here in container vans loaded on container ships. what makes container ships go?

bikes are made of materials that come from...

how do you extract minerals from dirt?

i'm sure people sitting in airconditioned cars stuck in traffic know they can avoid traffic by using 2 wheels

you think people who use 4 wheels are clueless?

you think they have never considered what you're doing?

i'm sure they have weighed the pluses and minuses of using 2 wheels and they decide to use 4 wheels parin

in the end, the choice depends on what people think will improve their quality of life (and make them live longer)

just coz you avoid traffic by riding a bike doesnt make you smarter than people who prefer to use cars and get stuck in traffic

    oliver,
