Mukhang the Mar Camp is grasping at straws. Noy-Bi!

Binay’s lead over Roxas widens to over 800,000

MANILA, Philippines – The gap between the canvassed votes of Puwersa ng Masang Pilipino vice-presidential candidate Jejomar Binay and Liberal Party bet Manuel “Mar” Roxas II has widened to over 800,000 in the final day of Congressional tally.

The Congressional tally has canvassed a total of 32.05 million votes, which has almost matched the total number of votes counted by the Commission on Elections (Comelec). (See ABS-CBN tally)

The camp of Roxas has continued to appeal for the delay of the proclamation of the winner in the vice-presidential race due to millions of "null votes," or those not read by the vote counting machines.

The Comelec has already thumbed down calls by Roxas' camp to count the nullified votes for the vice presidential race.

Votes get nullified or are not counted by the counting machines when a voter overvotes or undervotes. Votes are also nullified in case of erroneous shading of ballots.

Comelec commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal said there was no point in counting an undervote because no oval had been shaded in the first place.

Likewise, it would be hard to tell which vice presidential candidate a voter had really intended to vote when during an overvote. [See: Manual count of nullified votes useless, says Comelec

As of press time, the Congress has counted 17 COCs since canvassing resumed on Thursday. This brings the number of canvassed Certificate of Canvass (COC) to 224 out of the 278 total COCs.
Senate Majority Floor Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri and House Speaker Prospero Nograles said that they would finish canvassing by 9:00 pm on Thursday

Yeah the Mar camp is pushing the NULL VOTES to be counted! What the hell? How would we know who the null voted voted for? Mukang alam na nila na without those null votes Binay will win!

If Mar probably ran as president, siguradong lampaso siya. Vice position was supposed to be a safe bet for him, pero LOSER pa rin. LP suggested that Binay ballot stuffed the results in ARMM, which means Noynoy may have cheated also in ARMM.

yeah, it was supposed to be a picture perfect plan, him sliding to VP. mukhang nag sacrifice siya for the better good of the nation.

he was focus so much on Legarda, w/o them noticing Binay was slowly creeping in. when they realized what was happening it was too late.

but masyadong malaki ang lead ni Aquino even if they count all those null voids. it will not affect Aquino's lead. kaya nga malakas ang loon nilang magsalita ng ganyan kung hinde malaki lead ni Aquino I don't think sasabihin nila yan.

well during the 1986 snap election Doy Laurel was the candidate of the opposition. Madami ang nagconvince sa kanya sa "oposisyon" na mag give way para manalo sila kay marcos and instead slide to VP(similar to Mar although maybe different reason). so after the revolution Cory(pres) and doy(VP) were both proclaimed. Afterwards e its everybodies interpretation what happened. While mar may not even be proclaimed hehhhehe I guess you can now read what happened to Noy's camp during the election. Pwede nang magsama si Erap at Mar.:D

    Thanks, niwde11.

At least Doy won as VP. Mar downgraded to VP and lost.

IMHO, having a separate balloting for VP is a flaw in the 1987 constitution. The President and his VP must belong to the same team. Marami namang check and balance ngayon, hindi tulad noong panahon ng Marcos dictatorship.

Sa US ganyan di ba? Kung sinong nanalo na Pres., akay-akay na nya yung VP nya.

Yes. Pati sa atin noon. In the past, our President and VP were chosen together.

MANILA, Philippines [UPDATED] – It’s final. Liberal party standard bearer Benigno Aquino III and Puwersa ng Masang Pilipino vice-presidential candidate Jejomar Binay would be proclaimed as the two most powerful people in the country.
The final tally of the National Board of Canvassers showed Aquino with 15,208,678 votes, winning the presidential race with no surprise. His lead over second placer PMP presidential bet Joseph Estrada is 5,720,841 million votes. Estrada garnered 9,487,837 votes.

Binay, Estrada's running mate, on the other hand, won the vice presidency with 14,645,574 votes in the final count. Aquino's running mate, Manuel Roxas II was in close second place with 13,918,490 votes.

BINAY WINS! Officially... Will Mar Roxas protest? I hope not para we can move on!

naging complacent sila on the vp race, it was the liberal party's fault and now they're whining and claiming election fraud and then separate the case of noynoy. . .typical politicians
