by now, i think most of us already know what sec. neri of CHED (formerly of NEDA) said in the senate investigation on the contoversy/ anomaly surrounding the NBN deal.
nway, i would just like to quote sec. neri on his view on what the senators should focus on their investigation. got this from the inquirer (26 sept 2007) front page..
-----
Reform corrupt system
Neri expressed the hope that the senators would go beyond getting the names of the officials involved in the ZTE deal.
Neri said he wanted the Senate to focus not so much on “who did what,” but on the flaws in the government’s policies that have led to so much corruption in the system.
“What I would not like to see happen is an emphasis on personalities, on who’s guilty of what. My long-term view is to reform the system,” Neri said.
The electoral system, which has become too expensive, should be reformed to weed out oligarchs so that the voters could have better choices come election time, Neri said.
