Grace Poe: Aquino backing of Roxas expected
    Inquirer.Net, May 25, 2015 06:05pm

SENATOR Grace Poe on Monday expressed no surprise at reports that President Benigno Aquino III has declared that Interior Secretary Mar Roxas would remain as his top choice to succeed him.

"That is to be expected because Secretary Mar is their party mate," Poe said in a text message when sought for comment on President Benigno Aquino III's statement that Roxas remained to be his top choice for president in 2016.

Before this, Aquino and Poe met to discuss a possible alliance in the upcoming elections. The meeting sparked speculations that the neophyte senator was being considered to be the LP's bet or a possible running mate of Roxas in the 2016 elections.

Both Poe and Roxas though have yet to make a public declaration about their plans in 2016.

Asked if she would still sit down with the President to discuss the 2016 polls, Poe said: "The President and I have not met since the time we last met before he left for Chicago."

Also sought for comment on the President's remark, Senate President Franklin Drilon told reporters to just wait for Aquino's endorsement after his last state of the nation address (Sona) in July.

"Di ba the President said we will endorse after Sona? So let's wait for that," Drilon, LP vice chair, said.

Asked if Aquino should have been more categorical in endorsing Roxas, the Senate leader simply said: "I leave it to the President."

Drilon earlier called on Roxas to declare whether or not he would join the presidential race next year. AC

Between a 3 way fight among Noggy, Boypick-up & GP, i will pick GP and surely will be a landslide winner. Boypick-up will surely beat Noggy in a 3 way fight for 2nd placer only while Noggy will be a far 3rd. He will only get Slum dwellers of Makati and APO votes, wala na. Why is this so is because ERAP will support GP. Noggy only relied on Erap's PMP party he has no party and Erap die hard follower of voters. Without Erap, Noggy is history.

That is how good it's gonna get on a 3 way fight. But with Lacson & Duterte in to the fray, things will be different sa 2nd to down placers arrangement. As long as Erap will support GP, she's going to be tough to beat that's for sure and kung sa forecast beeting ng karera, pagpipilian na lang kung sino 2nd & 3rd placers.

Its funny how Binay's camp tells Poe to finish her term first before thinking of running for a higher position, when they asked he to run as noggie's running mate beforehand. Bitter masyado hahah

Grace Poe: Loyalty should be to the people not friends
    Friday, May 29, 2015 7:28PM

Senator Grace Poe said Friday she still respects Vice President Jejomar Binay and acknowledges his loyalty to her late father, actor and one-time opposition standard-bearer Fernando Poe Jr.

But the senator said Binay still has to answer the corruption allegations hurled against him.

“Issue ito sa ating bansa sapagkat kinakailangan nating magbigay ng halimbawa sa ating mga kababayan (na) mayaman ka man o mahirap, ikaw man ay nasa pwesto o wala ay pantay pantay sa mata ng batas,” she said in a radio interview.

Poe said she wanted to show the public that a government official's loyalty should be with the people and not with his friends.

"Yan po ang aking sinisikap na ipakita sa lahat na kaibigan man o kapamilya, masakit man sa puso mo, andyan ang respeto subalit ang iyong pangunahing layunin ay ang iyong loyalty sa mga taong naghalal sayo," Poe said.

The senator signed Thursday the draft report of the Blue Ribbon subcommittee recommending public charges against Binay and others in connection with the alleged overpriced construction of Makati City Hall Building II.

“Para akin po ang pagkakaibigan ay andyan pa rin. Siguro para sa kanila ay wala na rin ito. Hindi ko rin po sila masisisi. Sometimes mahirap po talaga ang mga choices na kailangang gawin natin,” she said.

Poe said that while Binay has been loyal to her father, her signing of the draft report was a sign of her loyalty on the virtues he taught her.

“Sabi nga nila naging tapat sila sa aking tatay at ako naman po alam ko yun. I acknowledge their loyalty to my father pero ako rin po ay nagiging tapat sa alaala ni FPJ na pagdating sa pamamalakad at pagdating sa pagiging tapat yun po ang pangunahing kinakailangan sa anumang institusyon, sa gobyerno man o sa pribadong sektor na isinulong ng aking ama,” she said.

The senator said she did not think twice in signing the report.

She even tried the MRT 3 herself and waved off VIP treatment when the MRT personel recognized her...

Yup, di naman makakulong si Pnoy. Madami magtatangka magungkat ng mga kaso laban sa kanya. Tingin ko ginagawan na ni Pnoy ng paraan para di sya unahan ni Binay sa ngayon.

Eto di ko alam kung gano ka kwentong kuchero, but supposedly Uncle Peping Cojuangco has the smoking gun on PNOY re: his connection / dealings with (M'am) Janet Napoles when PNOY was still a congressman.

Smoking gun not only on PNOY but also on DILG sec. Mar Roxas' dealings with (Ma'm) Janet Napoles are now in the hands of Uncle Peping.

Uncle Peping will soon confront PNOY with this "evidence" and blackmail him to resign in favor of his annointed tuta -- VP NOGNOG. In exchange, Uncle Peping will promise to PNOY that PNOY will not / never be jailed for his crimes once once NOGNOG is Pres.

With NOGNOG in Malacanang calling the shots, his victory in 2016 against anybody is a forgone conclusion.

Mar, however, will be convicted and jailed. No parachute for him. No save face or graceful exit. Peping and NOGNOG want Mar's head on a silver platter.

This scenario chills me. I hope it's just a conspiracy theory.

My feeling is, if anyone, not least of all Napoles, had anything to use against P-Noy & company, they would have used it long before this pork barrel/DAP mess blew up. andaming madadamay dito, why risk making it public, go to trial, etc. when they could have killed it right at birth?

Could all this have been all according to plan? i think it would have been much easier to back the most winnable candidate instead of going through all that.

Do not get me wrong as I have the best intentions for our country.... Choosing to stay here reasoning that I have my faith in our country.

I sincerely hope that I am not reading a reprise of the infamous "walang kapatid, walang kamag anak, walang kaibigan.. Huwag ninyo akong subukan!"

God Bless the Philippines! And may our elected leaders work hard and with steadfast integrity for our country and our people....
