religion is the safety blanket because people fear death.

a friend of mine said that people tend to become MORE religious as they get older, as they feel the onset of mortality.

but he also said something else:

1) if you do not believe in a supreme being and there is no supreme being, that's it, there is no life after death

2) if you BELIEVE in a supreme being, but there is no supreme being, same thing, no life after death

3) if you do NOT believe and there IS a supreme being, you go to hell

4) if you DO believe and there IS a supreme being, then you may be saved

so basically, if you don't believe, there's nothing else after death. but people want to believe there is life after death. hence the popularity of religion.

the guy asked for help to find priest for his friend because he's an atheist. i'm an atheist and posted my views and what atheists think. This might give the guy an idea what an atheist thinks or does so he might understand that it's perfectly ok not to refer an atheist to a priest. Out of topic?

We are widely misudertood. Not too many people know how we think or what we do. The point is parehas lang tayong mga tao.yung iba naniniwala..kami walang paniwala. It's always nice to see diferrent views di ba? And it's very sad to see some view different views negatively. I'm always amaze how people view things differently but to see them react negatively to different views? Kinda sad.

I can suggest Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite, SSP. He was supposed to officiate at our wedding, kaya lang he had something to attend to at the last minute. I could give you his cell number, or you can find him celebrating the Sunday morning mass at SM Megamall.

I also suggest Fr. Eligio Navales Cruz, SDB, currently rector of Don Bosco Technical College, Mandaluyong. Principal pa lang siya nun, kilala na namin siya. And he used to do magic tricks during his sermons to emphasize his points. :D

Monsignor Soc Villegas is also a good choice. Hindi ko lang alam kung naka-assign pa siya sa Ortigas chapel.

hehehehe..walang ibang maisip. if i put a cross baka desecrating naman ang dating sa iba.....ironic ba? an atheist with a pentagram avatar ....hahahahaha. kaya minsan mga atheists nababansagang mga antichrists or satanic because of this but actually these symbols doesnt mean anything to us cause we don;t even believe in devils or satan...wala lang pacute lang siguro.
