MANILA, Philippines -- Malacañang should also be blamed for making a mountain out of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s “mole hill,” Senate Minority Leader Aqulino Pimentel Jr. said on Tuesday.
“We have fake elections, we have a fake president, now fake boobs. It’s fake all over,” Pimentel said ver the phone, reacting to the Palace admission that Arroyo got breast implants in the 1980s.
While he agreed that the issue should be kept private, Pimentel said Malacañang should also take part of the blame that it has now become the subject of public discussion.
“Part of the faults is in the hands of Malacañang. Malacañang is the one making a mountain out of the mole hill of the President,” he said.
Despite this, the senator saw no reason for the National Bureau of Investigation to look into the source of the story, which was first reported in two broadsheets.
“We have more serious problems than this. It’s just a waste of time. Never mind that. They should just ignore it” he said, “What for? My God! Huwag na [Stop it].”
