MANILA, Philippines (1st UPDATE) - Police on Monday arrested 2 suspects in the murder of aspiring actor-politician Ramgen “Ram” Bautista Revilla, son of former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr.

Police arrested Michael Cruz Altia and Roy Francis Tolisora, alleged hired killers who were reportedly wearing Halloween masks when they entered Ram's house and killed him and shot his girlfriend, Janelle Manahan.

Task Force Ramgen head Maj. Enrique Sy said the 2 suspects are now under the custody of the Parañaque police while 3 more suspects remain at large.

Investigators earlier said they are looking into the possibility that a relative was the mastermind behind the killing of Revilla.

Cavite Mayor Strike Revilla, the victim’s half brother, said this will be a big blow to the family if it turns out to be true.

Nonetheless, they will not protect their relative if proven that he or she is the mastermind, the older Revilla said.

Ram was shot and stabbed dead in his house in Phase 6, BF Homes in Parañaque City before midnight on Friday.

Manahan is now recovering at the Asian Hospital in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

According to Ram's sister, Ramona, the suspects first shot Janelle and then shot and stabbed Ram 11 times.

Hindi naman siya siguro basta basta gagawa ng ganyang desisyon, lalo't alam niyang napaka-influenced ng kanyang pamilya & very powerful, unless may very very strong reason siya to do such.

^I think there is a deeper motive...22 yr old and 23 ba yun napatay? ano naman ang kakaingitan niya? mga ganyan age shallow lang yun kinaiingitan nila like cars, gadgets etc..but not a strong reason to kill your brother.
