Yes, students from the province are better in english. My cousins from Cebu are very articulate on it. Straight english at di Kris Aquino crap. Di bale na lang kung matigas sila mag-tagalog at pinagtatawanan natin sila.

About the exams, it's true. Students from Visayas, Mindanao and Luzon are more driven to learn than the QC/Manila/Makati city students. Higher grades and better english.

    Why?

I taught advertising in college before. And i have a roster of students all over the country.

leah_mira, this thread is about the result of the National Achievement Test conducted by the DepEd last year where the results showed that promdi students got better scores than their NCR counterparts. this is not a NCR vs promdi thread. please stay on topic.

PS. if you think you are topnotch in any field as you claim in your posts, think again. you might want to check your grammar first and say again that you are topnotch in constructing grammatically correct sentences ;)

    Ganito yan.

    Say there are 50 students.

The top ten earn their master's and doctorate and become researchers of big multi-national company. Some become professors and lecturers.

The next ten, still pursue their studies and show their worth and ultimately lands as Managers and top executives.

The bottom 30, well, they finish college. They are not hired by any company. try their own luck, get street smart, put up their own business and become successful.

At the end the bottom 30, will hire the top ten to do their researches, gine lectures to their personnel. The next 10, they will hire to run their business, while they go on a vacaton and laugh their way to the bank.

    Don't laugh, it happens.

well it really depends on the student, it doesn't matter kung taga probinsya ka o taga Metro Manila, lifestyle din yan, pag ikaw may TV ka sa kwarto mahihirapan kang magconcentrate sa pagaaral kasi nandiyan ang temptation. Parents plays a big role in their children's studies, they should be involved as much as possible and provide the right atmosphere condusive to good study habbits - No TV, No computer games, etc.

basically the champions in any brain national competition came from manila not even in your pathetic province huh?
If you want to start your argument in english about academics check your grammar first madam. And boybi's right don't make this a Manila vs Province student thread, wala tayong mararating diyan.

mas madami temptation sa province kasi natural na natural ang kinakain at ang surroundings, unlike dito puro artificial, fast food, at puro chemical lang ang pampaganda sa katawan ...

Haggard ang English nung isang yon. Sumakit ang ulo ko. Medyo nakakatulala. But that's good, thanks for presenting us proof, leah_mira.

puro kase porma kiddos sa Manila eh...
mas hardworking ang mga province based students...have heard that sometimes mas gusto pa ng mga companies ang promdi province kesa mga tiga-dito kase mas masipag daw.

I tend to agree here. Because from what I see, most of the topnotchers in the board exams (ECE for example) come from universities in the provinces.
