Privilege for the Alternative (fuel)

The LTO should give private car owners with alternative fuels / propulsion systems some extra privileges. Vehicles powered by LPG, CNG, WVO, 100% biofuels and electricity are cleaner to the environment than their gasoline & diesel counterparts. This goes inline with the CLEAN AIR ACT and gives some degree of reward and incentives for private car owners to go alternative as well.

This might sound discriminating to people who can't convert to alternative fuels against those who can afford to spend but if you look at the bigger picture, it should help further to promote the use of alternative fuels in the Philippines. I other countries they even give some sort of financial rebates for private car owners if they convert to LPG/CNG so why shouldn't our local government follow them as well since it does work to reward car owners?

why give incentive? is the benefit rewarding enough for the users of alternative fuels?

it's not like if all the cars in the world convert to alternative fuels, we can change nature or reverse the effects of global warming. 14% lang naman contribution ng all the cars in the world combined sa global warming.

the remaining percentage also include yun other energy consuming habits natin like for example, you cook bacon + eggs in breakfast, buy packed lunch, and eat dinner in a grill resto and do this daily, the ironing and washing machine of clothes, the airconditioning of the office, the surfing for information at night or PS2 gaming at night or that dream to buy a new cellphone, or LCD or digicam in the next months ...
these contribute more to the worsening environment.

Maybe a tax-incentive on the conversion kits... but an incentive on the fuel? LPG prices are already low because they're "socially sensitive" products (same as with diesel), but y'know, if people have the luxury to drive, they ought to pay tax for it.

The gov't should give incentives para ma-encourage ang mga tao mag alternative fuel.

Like lower registration fee for electric cars or something like that...

Unlikely. Big oil is a huge lobbyist and they are an important source of funding during election time.

Government should give incentives to petrol stations that offer alternative fules such as CNG and LPG...

Biodiesel already have incentives...

Ako I'd been using biodiesel from (eastern petroleum, seaoil, petron and flying V since last year. So far maganda ang epekto sa sasakyan ko...
