Ang nangyayari ngayon ay opposite. many poor couples end up depending on the parents to sustain them. Yung jeepney driver sa BBC documentary "Worst place to be a Bus Driver", umaasa yung mga apo sa kaniya... Problema walang trabaho dahil walang skill.

Me choice kasi sila, they do have senior centers, elderly homes, etc. Dito sa atin, mukhang yung Lualhati ng Maynila lang ata eh. and they're not exactly well funded. i've been thinking about checking myself in there, should the Lord see fit to let me live that long. Baka me plan sila, e.g. pay XXX amount for N years, you get to stay there until you die :D

You can only hope that their kids at least see the flaw in their thinking(i.e. baby factory) para hindi na maulit. Quality over quantity ika nga, unless you want your kids to be the grunts that do the sh_tty jobs and get paid nickles and dimes

So what will that really solve? You just "punish" the people who pay their taxes, and are in the position to give their children good education and opportunities.

Population growth per se is not your problem. Yung problema is yung parte ng population na "sobra sobra" kung dumami e yung hinde na nga nakakacontribute, malakas pa kung huminge sa gobyerno. And even at this point I can say there is nothing really wrong with that. They need help, government provides we can all agree that's good.
Its just that they themselves do not want to break out of that cycle. Welfare forever kuno

Whats the solution to this? Quality public education. Can we provide it? Well thats another very long discussion about the interconnected problems of our dear country all pointing to the ruling minority.

Ah. Dito may confusion. I did not say kaltasan yung sahod ng pamilyang konti anak. What i said was kaltasan yung tax na binabawas sa sahod nila. For example instead na 30% ang tax ng single and couples with no children, gawin na lang 15%. Pag 1 child, 20% tax, etc. Less tax = higher net = more take home = more resources for the family.

Pwede din na ang incentive ay in the form of scholarship grant. Pag 1 ang anak, automatic 50% scholar, pag 2 anak 30% for both children, etc. Pag single, pwede din subsidized ng gobyerno yung masteral or phd.

Pwede din more health benefits, insurance, etc...

The main goal is to instill in the people's mind na ang pagkakaroon ng malaking pamilya ay malaking responsibilidad at hindi ito kayamanan dahil "blessings from god", o mas macho dahil marami anak..... The less children you have, the better quality of life you will have.

well, the main draw of this approach is less tax for the government. For now..... In the long run, lets say 20-30years from now, we will have more educated people, more professionals, for sure more tax.

As long as nakiki-alam ang Catholic Church sa gobyerno there's no chance na umasenso ang Pilipinas.
