i sympathize with our comrades. they sacrificed their lives in vain. they should, again, should have been better equipped, better trained, better informed (intel), better supported with supplies, transportation, communication capability and necessary equipment. our military is in a sad state that more often than not, are ill equipped than the insurgents. our situation in the south is comparable to what you can watch from the movie battle of algiers. to the families the poor soldiers left behind, we are truly grateful for the demised soldiers efforts and dedication and we are sorry for your loss.

Basilan ambush: Wounded warriors' stories | ABS-CBN News | Latest Philippine Headlines, Breaking News, Video, Analysis, Features
Our guys fought to the last round against numerically superior forces...bigla ko nahiya sa sarili ko nakaupo ako sa aircon at kumakain ng masarap while they are fighting against the enemy who wants to take our territory with limited ammo, watching each others backs and trying to save their buddies.

Its a very sad situation indeed. While our generals fatten themselves, their wives, mistresses, and kids, our troopers are being massacred on the field.
No immediate air support or reinforcements whatsoever? Shouldn't there be immediate back up contingencies on these things? Baka mas mabilis pa dumating yung ABS-CBN and GMA 7 over the reinforcements.
I personally believe in the capabilities of our soldiers in the field, based on my experiences with them before. They are good and capable but lack the equipment and support... they are very, very different from our police force na wala talagang kwenta.
Kudos to them for keeping the fight, and my heart and prayers go out to the families of the slain.

wala na talaga ako bilib kay Pnoy, bakla talaga! the hostage taking, ok pa sa akin but this time wala talaga. he's a spineless son of a bitch!
simple lang dapat ginawa niya, he should gave ultimatum to MILF na isuko lahat ng involved sa ambush or he will suspend the peace talk and go for all out war.
ano gagawin ngayon pagaaralan nanaman? tapos yun command meeting nila parang today pa lang gagawin dahil iniintay pa yata sec ng DOD, WTF!? commander in chief ka as soon as nabalitaan na ambush na mga military dapat convene na agad yun command something and he should immediately headed it.
he should stop thinking kung ano gagawin ng nanay niya, patay na nanay mo. gawin mo naman ang trabaho mo. harap-harapan nayun pagtraydor ng MILF and yet ok lang? tanginang yan! kung baligtarin at military ang sumugod sa MILF while they are having a peace talk ano gagawin ng MILF? automatic aatras sila sa peach negotiation.

Onga tangna kahit man lang FDR style na speech after pearl harbor, just to re assure the soldiery and the citizens na matigas ang resolve not to tolerate these acts of aggression.
Kawawa mga bata natin, parang we were soldiers na pelikula minus the reinforcement, the medevac, the air and artillery support, the ammo. halos minus lahat..
Pero saludo ako sa tao...Ang galing niyo Salamat po mga sundalong Pilipino.
