March 5th, 2014 02:16 PM #11hmm not sure whether this is in the BIR's jurisdiction. afaik taxes only apply only if you do work/business/make money here in PH.
imho the government should be kissing the *$$es of OFWs. If not for them a lot more people would not have money, no education, etc. They feed their families so the government doesn't have to further squeeze the working class for more money.
And that supposedly "strong peso" we have? Who do you think is raking in US$'s for PH? Exports? Yeah, export of human resources

Lalong pahihirapan ang mga low earner na contract OFWs na mga sunudsunuran lang.
Yung mga smarter higher paid OFWs (some called them expats), kahit anong gawin ng POEA/BIR, di mahahabol yan.

Pag napasa yung bill, yung mga walang kamaganak sa pinas na pa padalhan ng remittances, eh sa kin nyo na lang po padala para makakuha kayo ng passport, hahaha.
But seriously, passport is a basic right of every Filipino. So I don't think papasa to sa supreme court.
