Putin on terrorism: 'To forgive them is up to God, but to send them to him is up to me'
    PUBLISHED25 MIN AGO
    Lee Min Kok

Known for his hardline stance and strong public remarks, Russian President Vladimir Putin's latest quotable quote has been making the rounds on social media.

A tweet by Ms Remi Maalouf, a news anchor with television channel Russia Today, highlights Mr Putin's colourful take on terrorism: "To forgive them is up to God, but to send them to him is up to me."

In the wake of the Paris terrorist attacks on Nov 13 which killed at least 129 people, Russia and France agreed to coordinate their military and security services against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants in Syria.

Mr Putin, speaking to his top military officials, had vowed merciless retaliation for the attacks, as warplanes from both countries unleashed bombs on the ISIS stronghold of Raqa earlier this week.

"It's necessary to establish direct contact with the French and work with them as allies," he said.

The urgency of the unusual alliance was also due to Tuesday's revelation that ISIS was responsible for planting a homemade bomb that ripped apart a Russian passenger jet over Egypt on Oct 31.

That incident claimed the lives of all 224 passengers on board, most of whom were Russians returning home from a vacation.

Mr Putin responded by saying it was one of the bloodiest acts in modern Russian history, vowing that the effort to bring ISIS to justice would be relentless.

"We will search for them everywhere wherever they are hiding. We will find them anywhere on the planet and punish them," he added.

All brave talk but they only fly and bomb. Why dont they do something on the ground like What America has always been doing. They put soldiers on the ground!

America has laways been risking eveything from WW2, to North Korea, to Vietnam, to Iraq Kuwait, to Afghanistan.

If indeed the Russian President is bent on annihilating this threat, then put that 150,000 contingent stong Russian army that they have been promising,

    ----

in world war 2, roosevelt asked stalin if they could commit Russian soldiers in the American war vs, Japan. The russians did't help and instead cordoned off all of eastern Europe as prize for them winning against Germany.

The Americans were left alone in the Pacific theater, losing a 100,000 men per Japanese island conquered. main reason why the Atomic bomb was decided to level off 2 Japanese cities, kasi nauubos na ang mga Amerikano coz of the Kamikaze attiude of the Japanese,

Now, they are facing the same type of enemy; kamikaze type. Pero still nobody in the coalition has the guts to put their soldiers on the ground
    .

    ----

The russian president did mention using his tactical low-yield nukes. I wonder how the other middle esst countries will react if say the fall out of those nukes affect their environment or water supply..

Benn holding off posting as this is a developing story...apparently the police uncovered a plot from confiscated phones/devices from earlier raids, and managed to stop a second wave of attacks "in the nick of time". This seems plausible since a female terror suspect blew herself up when they conducted the raid. 2 or 3 suspects dead, 7 held in custody.

before posting anything, check your facts, especially if you're talking about history.
please do not change or embellish history.

FDR died on April 12, 1945. His VP, Harry S. Truman, succeeded him. On August 6 and 9, the US dropped bombs at the cities of Hiroshima and nagasaki. It was Truman who approved the
use of atomic bomb against Japan. below are excerpts of papers and diary of president truman regarding his succession to the presidency up to the time he decided to drop the atomic bomb against Japan:

[4/12/45: President Franklin Roosevelt dies. Vice-President Harry Truman becomes President.]
    xxx
    6/17/45 Diary Entry:
"I have to decide Japanese strategy - shall we invade Japan proper or shall we bomb and blockade? That is my hardest decision to date. But I'll make it when I have all the facts."
    xxx
    7/17/45 Diary Entry:
"I told Stalin that I am no diplomat but usually said yes & no to questions after hearing all the argument. It pleased him. I asked him if he had the agenda for the meeting. He said he had and that he had some more questions to present. I told him to fire away. He did and it is dynamite - but I have some dynamite too which I'm not exploding now."
"He'll [Stalin and Russia] be in the Jap War on August 15th. Fini Japs when that comes about."
    xxx
    7/18/45 Diary Entry:
"P.M. [Prime Minister Winston Churchill] & I ate alone. Discussed Manhattan [atomic bomb] (it is a success). Decided to tell Stalin about it. Stalin had told P.M. of telegram from Jap Emperor asking for peace. Stalin also read his answer to me. It was satisfactory. Believe Japs will fold up before Russia comes in. I am sure they will when Manhattan appears over their homeland. I shall inform Stalin about it at an opportune time."
    xxx
[The following diary entry is not found in "Off the Record". It appears to refer to the meeting between Truman and Stalin on 7/17/45 at the Potsdam Conference. It may have been written by Truman in the Fall of 1951 for his aide Eben Ayers (Gar Alperovitz, "The Decision to Use the Atomic Bomb", pg. 558-559).]
    7/19/45 Diary Entry:
"Stalin was a day late in arriving. It was reported that he was not feeling up to par. He called on me as soon as he arrived. It was about 11 A.M. He, Molotov, Vishinski and Pavlov stayed for lunch. We had a most pleasant conference and Stalin assured me that Russia intended to carry out the Yalta agreements and to enter the war against Japan in August." (William Hillman, "Harry S. Truman: In His Own Words", pg. 123).

    7/20/45 Letter to Bess Truman:
"I have to make it perfectly plain to them [Russia and Great Britain] at least once a day that so far as this President is concerned Santa Claus is dead and that my first interest is U.S.A., then I want the Jap war won and I want 'em both in it. Then I want peace - world peace and will do what can be done by us to get it.
    xxx
    7/22/45 Letter to Bess Truman:
"He [Stalin] talked to me confidentially at the dinner [on 7/21/45] and I believe things will be all right in most instances. Some things we won't and can't agree on - but I have already what I came for [see the 7/18/45 letter to Bess Truman]. Hope I can break it off in a few days." [i.e., leave the Potsdam Conference].
    xxx
    7/25/45 Diary Entry:
"We met at 11 A.M. today. That is Stalin, Churchill and the U.S. President. But I had a most important session with Lord Mountbattan & General Marshall before than. We have discovered the most terrible bomb in the history of the world. It may be the fire destruction prophesied in the Euphrates Valley Era, after Noah and his fabulous Ark.
"Anyway we 'think' we have found the way to cause a disintegration of the atom. An experiment in the New Mexican desert was startling - to put it mildly. Thirteen pounds of the explosive caused the complete disintegration of a steel tower 60 feet high, created a crater 6 feet deep and 1,200 feet in diameter, knocked over a steel tower 1/2 mile away and knocked men down 10,000 yards away. The explosion was visible for more than 200 miles and audible for 40 miles and more.
"The weapon is to be used against Japan between now and August 10th. I have told the Sec. of War, Mr. Stimson, to use it so that military objectives and soldiers and sailors are the target and not women and children. Even if the Japs are savages, ruthless, merciless and fanatic, we as the leader of the world for the common welfare cannot drop this terrible bomb on the old capital or the new [Kyoto]

[7/26/45: The U.S., Great Britain, and China issued the Potsdam Proclamation, which called for Japan's "unconditional surrender". It made no reference to the future status of the Emperor, Russia's secret agreement to declare war on Japan, or the atomic bomb. It was rejected by Japan's Prime Minister.

[8/6/45: An atomic bomb was dropped on the people of Hiroshima.]

Actually, PSN is an excellent way to communicate anonymously. Log into a game session and the text and voice chats are typically not recorded.

    -

Even better, others were suggesting you could spell out messages in bullets. Bullet holes are not recorded by the server, at all.

    -

It would take a huge amount of storage space to record all the game chats that happen on PSN.

^you have a theory. that's good.everyone does. free trade of ideas. i agree with holmes: the ultimate good desired is better reached by free trade of ideas, that the best test of the truth is the power of the thought to get itself accepted in the competition of the marketplace...

bro badkuk, i think you research a little deeper. you start with abu musab al-zarqawi. then, al-Tawhid wal-Jihad. then, Tanzim Qaidat al-Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn. these things will lead you to many things.

which is why the NSA data center in utah exists. hehe. what's funny is that they have yet to prevent any major attacks.

it does. 2007 asean summit was originally set for December 10 to 14, 2006 in Cebu, however, this was moved to January 12 to 15, 2007. accdg to official report, it was moved due to typhoon seniang, but this was an open secret to the intel community that it was because of some "chatters" of a terrorist threat.
in the same manner that if there were "chatters" now, apec wouldn't push through.

    Hope it was painful...

Hasna Aitboulahcen screamed, 'help me, help me!' before detonating her suicide vest packed full of explosives as French anti-terror police moved in on the terrorists' hiding place.

Her head and spine flew through a window before a ferocious gun battle broke at the flat in Saint Denis where the mastermind of the Paris bombings Abdelhamid Abaaoud was said to be hiding out.

Witnesses described seeing a female with long blonde hair blow herself up in the chaos. She is said to have gone to a nearby KFC restaurant to buy some food and looked 'relaxed' just hours before.

Now friends have revealed how Aitboulahcen, 26, Abaaoud's cousin, was an 'extrovert' who drank alcohol and was nicknamed 'the cowgirl' due to her love of wearing big cowboy hats.

Malamang gusto niya na lumapit mga police para tulungan siya and kapag malapit na sakanya mga police ay detonate niya yung bomb.

    something is commencing in US...

BREAKING: Police on Lookout for Four Suspicious Bearded Men Seen at Pentagon - The Gateway Pundit

Washington, D.C. Fox affiliate WTTG-TV reporter Emily Miller posted to Twitter Wednesday night an internal police memo on four suspicious bearded men seen at the Pentagon on Sunday.

Miller said the memo from the Metro Transit Police was leaked to her by a source who thought the public should know.

Photos of the men walking in the Pentagon Metro Station shows them each having beards and appearing to be Middle Eastern.
Miller comments they are over-dressed for the warm weather that day.

I remember a year ago when I was in DC. i asked the hotel reception if they have a map guide on how to go Pentagon.

Reception replied: "Why do you want to go to the Pentagon? There's nothing to see there ..."

i said: it's one of the landmarks in DC.

Reception: Yes, but why do you want to go there, It's just a building, It not like you will see the structure from a tower something? The lady receptionist referring to the pentagon shape of the pentagon.

i was going to reply: I want to see where that plane fell. Di ko na lang tinuloy. And I didnt even bother to go there na. Malayo pa din pala. The smithsonians took me a whole day na

So yun ganun sila ka sensitive doon siguro, I visited the World Trade Memorial the new one with the bottomless waterfalls and the louvre like memorial structure. i can feel the energy of that place. new Yorkers are very sensitive of that area. Kaya hayun when you go there try to respect these places. Dont treat it like a tourist spot or something
