Paul reiterated this in his Letter to the Romans chapter 1 beginning in verse 18 to 32.

    God's Wrath Against Sinful Humanity
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to ***ual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural ***ual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

ewan ko sa inyo pero yung God na alam ko loving at forgiving. kahit nga ubod ka ng sama kung sa last minute ng buhay mo nagsisi ka at tinawag mo siya e tatanggapin ka nya. my God does not condemn any of His children.

yung ibang gods puro condemn to eternal damnation ang alam kaya tuwang-tuwa si satanas.

As a catholic, I learned that one should treat homo***ual persons with dignity, love, respect and understanding. We should love our fellowmen, whether homo***ual or not (as they are also God's children). We should not condemn the homo***ual person but we should, however, condemn the homo***ual act. If a homo***ual person engages in homo***ual act or entered into a same *** marriage, we should condemn his act but should try to understand his situation and if possible, lead him to enlightenment. Who are we to condemn or judge the person. All of us are sinners anyway. No one is perfect. Even our Lord Jesus Christ said to the crowd who wanted to put to death a prostitute that those who are without sin cast the first stone. It is not for us to judge any person because it is God's business to do so. And knowing God to be All Merciful and Loving God, his divine justice shall be based on the person's sins and his degree of repentance.

stop na lang tayo discussing on homo***uality.... the topic is too sensitive and we have our own different "human" opinions on this.
let God be the final judge when the time comes. He has that wisdom that all of us cannot comprehend. (Isa 55:8).

let us discuss the issue where Pacquiao's fight is being studied by the comelec as what shadow said.... medyo ibang item yun.

all the books in the old testament bible are the opinions and stories of men about God. none of it is first hand account. all were stories told from one generation to the next, most of it written down only after hundreds or even thousands of years after the fact (if indeed it were based on fact) and therefore had undergone all the alterations a story handed down from one generation to the next normally undergo especially if the story telling is verbal. mind you, the written word, paper and ink were fairly recent inventions. heavily influenced by prevailing culture, beliefs, wants and fears, if the old testament books be worded in present day language and if the reader has had no experience with any faith he might just mistake them for a story one finds in a tabloid (Abraham living to be more than 1000 years old, Jonah swallowed by a fish and lived to tell the tale, the great flood, etc).

the only first hand accounts of God (subject of course if one believes Jesus is God) speaking to men are the 4 gospels and those books and letters written by his apostles. those apostles saw him with their own eyes, heard them with their own ears and witnessed his life, death and resurrection (or should i say His manifestations after rising from the dead). the teachings therein all have one theme - love and forgiveness.

imho, the bible telling us to put to death gay men because they love each other is purely homophobia circa 3000 BC.

I'm expecting Nestle to follow suit eventually... they're quite pro LGBT.

As for the Nike replacement, Underarmour doesn't seem to give a damn if their brand ambassadors are anti-gay marriage, so he could go there. But I don't know if Underarmour would actively court such attention at this point, or if they would sign on a little later, after the hubbub dies down.

    -

Facebook feed is full of people posting the full quote of Pacquiao, claiming that if you take the quote into context, it doesn't mean what the LGBT community thinks it means.

Guess what? It still does. :hysterical: Just shut up, already. Pacquiao knows he worded it wrong, so he's apologizing. If even Manny knows he said it wrong, why can't his supporters accept that he worded it wrong?

And then there's the Vice Ganda bashing. Trust me, I find Vice Ganda a reprehensible so-called "comic", and his Jessica Soho "rape joke" is one of the most tasteless ever... but Vice Ganda doesn't represent all gays. That he is tasteless, vulgar and pretty bigoted doesn't excuse the fact that what Manny said was also pretty bigoted.

    -

And there's also the "CHINA IS PUTTING MISSILES ON A REEF AND YOU'RE STILL TALKING ABOUT MANNY!!!!" crowd... heh. As if you were all talking about Chinese missiles before the incident...

Paul is not Jesus. He may have been an Apostle, but he ain't Jesus.

The books of the Bible were written and edited by many different men. All claim to have been inspired by God, or to have received illumination from God. And yet, many passages do not agree with each other.

Let's not forget, it was a POPE who relegated Mary Magdalene to the role of prostitute. A reputation she still struggles to overcome until this day. (Official doctrine: No, she isn't)

The Church is made up of people. Whatever your belief in Christ's divinity, do not forget that the Church and Bible were created by PEOPLE.

In the end, if you are truly a Christian, follow what Christ has said. Love they neighbor.

And that's the closest he ever gets to talking about homo***uality.

    -

There's also evidence in the Gospel that Jesus allows for divorce if the spouse is an adulterer... hello, CBCP?

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

That is old testament. New testament na dapat basehan. Plus sa Corinthians si Paul lang din nga nagdagdag nun. Again, human error is possible.

Anyways tama na Love your neighbor na lang para wala problema.

    Matthew 22:34-40 TNIV
Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. [35] One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: [36] "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" [37] Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' [38] This is the first and greatest commandment. [39] And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' [40] All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Yes, regardless of what the Bible (Old/New Testament) says, some of the passages of which contradict the others -- which is why various men and women throughout the ages emerged, each claiming to be the true messenger--the rule should be - love your neighbor. It heals all evil thoughts and deeds.

Yeah! I love my neighbor's wife if she's young and pretty. C'mon guys. Park it. As long as the gay guy don't bother me and they stay normal in front of me it's okay. But if hse bothers me with his gayness is another story.

    love thy neighbor.

enrile loves them so much that he told them to go to another planet.

MANILA, Philippines – Senator Juan Ponce Enrile drew flak on Wednesday, February 17, after his comments on the lesbian, gay, bi***ual, and transgender (LGBT) community went viral on social media.

In a tweet, radio network DZRH cited Enrile's reaction to the controversy hounding Sarangani Representative and boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, who came under fire for saying that gay couples are worse than animals. Pacquiao has since apologized, but the furor has yet to die down.

DZRH quoted Enrile as telling the LGBT community, "Pumunta kayo sa ibang planeta." (Go to another planet.)

Other reports said Enrile told Pacquiao's critics to specifically "go to Mars."

    Social media users immediately reacted.

Enrile also said that Pacquiao, who is seeking a Senate seat, would win in the May elections even without the votes of LGBTs.

Since the controversy broke out, LGBTs and rights advocates have been calling on Filipinos not to vote for Pacquiao.

    Candidates' views

In a press statement on Wednesday, presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte expressed support for LGBTs.

"I have nothing against gays," Duterte was quoted as saying, as he faced supporters in Bacolod City.

The mayor previously said that "God does not discriminate against people, regardless of color, religion, social class, or gender, and ***ual preferences."

Senator Grace Poe, another presidential candidate, also said she supports the push for equality.

"Naniniwala ako na dapat ang bawat nagmamahal ay bigyan ng union and benefits. Respetuhin natin ang relihiyon pero respetuhin din natin ang karapatan ng mga nagmamahalan na magkaron ng benepisyo para sa kanilang minamahal," Poe said.

(I believe that all couples should be allowed to get married and have benefits. We should respect religion but we should also respect the rights of all couples to have benefits for their loved ones.)

Meanwhile, Pacquiao's fellow United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) senatorial candidate Alma Moreno said she respects his stand on same-*** marriage, but disapproves of comparing gays to animals. – Rappler.com

Atty. JM, i have a question. Is it true that Enrile never lost a single case in court?

si gerry spence lang yata ang documented na di pa natalo, bro.
if enrile hasn't, it's more apocryphal than the unvarnished truth. whatever floats the boat of this fellow. remember his purported ambush on the eve of the declaration of martial law.
