Aquino buys used Porsche

MANILA, Philippines - Does the President use his new car -- a used 2007 Porsche -- on his dates? That was the question that seemed to have caught Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda by surprise Thursday morning.
Lacierda confirmed Aquino bought a "third-hand" 2007 Porsche using his own money.
"Depreciated na po yan. Hindi po bibilin yan ng pangulo kung hindi depreciated," he told Palace reporters.
The spokesman said the car is not under the declared assets of the President since it was bought after he submitted his statement of assets liability and net worth for 2010. It will be in the 2011 SALN.
Lacierda said he wasn't aware if it was purchased by the President as a Christmas gift for himself. He said the President drove the car to attend a Christmas party of the Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office.
He said the car was bought from the proceeds of the sale of another car of the President.
He insisted it was a private purchase using personal funds and that the car already had a depreciated value.

The country's 50-year-old bachelor president has bought himself a new car.
Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda confirmed on Thursday that President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III has purchased a third-hand 2007 Porsche, but emphasized that the president used his personal funds for the purchase.
"It's a private purchase, it came from his own funds. The pruchase were proceeds from the sale of another asset and that other asset was acquired through personal loans," Lacierda said at a press briefing in Malacañang.
He said he could not confirm whether it was Aquino's BMW, which he bought back when he was a senator, that was sold for P4.5 million so he could purchase the Porsche, as reported by the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The Palace spokesman noted that the value of the Porsche was depreciated. "If it was not depreciated, the president wouldn't even buy it, wouldn't even consider it."

According to one site.. it's "...an entry-level Porsche."
http://www.batangastoday.com/pres-no...-porsche/8719/
It's really fine if he bought it with his own money, he's entitled to it.
The question is.... who'll pay for his gas?

Saw PNOY's convoy last week.. Hinde na Land Cruiser 200 gamit niya na SUV, he's using the more luxurious Lexus LX 570, color white.. Naisip niya siguro na madami siyang kapareho na congressmen & senators pag Land cruiser 200 gamit niya..

Used nga eh. Tapos 2007 model pa. Yung mga binibili kasi ng uncle mo brand new.
Tama. 911 Carrera kung "Entry-Level" lang daw.
Not even the Carrera S..
Kung regular na tao lang sya they won't even care even he gets a Bugatti Veyron.

baka na appraise na 1.5 yung X5 nya then he added 4.5?
kasi if 4.5 for a 911 na 2007 tingin ko parang medyo bitin parin eh...
Kwento ng katrabaho ko, meron daw sya officemate dati na Italiano na tinanong daw bakit...
