The currency crisis wasn't Estrada's fault. And gas? That's tied to global concerns, not Gloria's presidency.

One good thing about Gloria's term is that the perceived stability of governance attracts investors. Problem is, a lot of people (not just locally, but economic advisors and investors) are questioning whether or not the reforms are true reforms or just a good bit of PR.

I don't really like Gloria. Terrible at playing the game of politics... she's lost a lot of good advisors, left and right, who couldn't stomach her... her "party" attracts a lot of trapos, opportunists and "balimbings"... her administration resorts to a lot of extra-judicial maneuvering (frivolous arrests and detentions, killings, vote-fixing, etcetera...) to get what they want. I may like SOME of the results, but I absolutely hate the shambles her administration is making of democracy.

Doesn't mean I want to see Estrada's camp win... lots of opportunists and loudmouths there, too. Which means... f*** the party. Vote for the candidates that have proven track records and seem to have the best interests of the nation at heart.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Di naman mainit ang ulo ko... it's just that it's laughable to talk about "parties" here in the Philippines when so many politicians choose parties as a matter of convenience.

From talks with different candidates, totally candid and on the side, regarding "parties": Me: Saan partido ka? X: Siyempre, doon sa partidong mas malaki ang election funds!

They don't come out and say it in public, but choice of parties is mostly determined by which would give them the best election results. The personality and quality of your party mates is secondary, but some people actually do jump parties due to disgust with their party-mates.

Does it really matter? Our political parties don't really have a vision, a mission or values. It's better to decide which candidate is the most qualified and competent regardless of affiliation. Anyway, the way things are done here, it's just a label like yellow or blue.

More like basketball teams. Being a player of Ginebra or San Miguel doesn't automatically make you better, stronger or smarter than players for other teams... but it sure as hell helps make you popular...

i don't know if most of us will agree here na ang suliranin na hinaharap natin ngayon ay naugat pa sa kauna-unang people power revolution noong 1986
